Could I Wear That Tweed White Chanel Tunic If I Weren’t 5 Feet Tall? Probably Not!

I started my day with a green t-shirt, some leggings, and a jean jacket but I had a meeting today and I put on black cuffed pants, a lace bralette, a black suit jacket, and black converse and mistakenly looked at Chriselle Lim’s Instagram account before heading to my meeting. Head desk. Why did I do that? She’s on there wearing that stunning Chanel Tweed White Tunic that launched with the Spring/Summer 2021 Collection (not the Cruise Collection which was gag!). She also, has an Tiktok of herself wearing it and she looks a m a z i n g! That tunic was made for her body. Now I feel like a frump! Let me go hide in a corner! Ha 😀

Ugh…! I do wish I was tall and super slim. That tunic is made for a body type that’s tall! I’m still over here struggling with the leggings situation, people! there’s no way I’m wearing a tunic that long without it dragging all over the floor!

No one remembers us little humans in the fashion world! I’m browsing maxi dresses right now for Summer and every single one I’ve seen so far is way too long for me. Anyone have access to the same mushrooms Alice did to make her taller?

But seriously, this is your daily reminder to just embrace the yourself. Tall, short, skinny, fluffy, love yourself no matter what.

I may need a step stool to get to the high shelves in the kitchen and the pantry but screw it!

It’s true that you have to be yourself because everyone else is taken….!

One exception…

If you’re offered the chance to be Batman.

Always be Batman.

Or, I mean, if some crossroads demon offers you a chance to be Chriselle Lim in a white Chanel Tunic totally take advantage and do it!

I’m kidding. Just be you and love every version of yourself!

Have a good day all you beautiful people.

I’ll be back later as I gotta write an e-mail to Chanel about the challenges short humans face on the daily. ;-D

This Is the Disgusting Habit That Became Worst For Me During the Pandemic

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Beauty confession! I’m a nail biter and a picker….! The most disgusting habit in the world I have is I bite my nails. It’s gross! But even worst than nail biting is nail picking. I get the worst hangnails and I have absolutely no issues just ripping them off. My masochist side totally had no issues with just ripping a hangnail until I’m bleeding. It’s a nasty habit.

I know last year when COVID hit it totally cured me of nail biting. I mean instantly, I became so much more aware of touching my face, biting my nails, etc…! A year later and I’m beyond disciplined about touching my face, rubbing my eyes, and most importantly biting my nails. I simply don’t do it anymore.

Hangnails are a different story.

That’s a habit that got a lot worst with the pandemic.

The Most Important Thing We’ll Be Discussing Today is the Difference Between Urban Decay Riff and New Riff Eyeshadow

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

I wanted to compare Urban Decay Riff and New Riff Eyeshadow and swatch the shades side by side for you today as I got quite a few e-mails asking me about the new shade versus the old one. Many of you know I really love Riff. Whenever Urban Decay Eyeshadow Singles went on sale for $10 bucks I was chronically collecting pots of Riff. At the time I felt like I was being ridiculous but now that the shade is discontinued I’m ever so glad I decided to hoard a few backups. It’s one of my favorite brown shades and really does something beautiful for my eyes.

Urban Decay recently relaunched their Eyeshadow Collection in new, clear compacts but also, they launched a wide variety of new shades and have done away with many fan favorites in the process. You can still get a few of them on sale at urbandecay.com (including Riff) but both Sephora and Ulta have officially sold out.

One of the shades I was most curious in the new line was Urban Decay New Riff Eyeshadow.

Jump ahead for a comparison and swatches of Riff and New Riff and see which you love more.

A Love List for Monday

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Good Morning!

I hope you had a beautiful weekend. My sister and I spent the entire weekend treating my mom like the queen she is! After not seeing her for so long due to the pandemic it was nice being altogether again!

Today’s love list is all about the simple things to love on an early Monday morning!

I Love Stupid O’Clock Wake Up Calls
People call me insane for waking up so early but I’m up at 4:45am to start my day every weekday. I am not a morning person. I am an utter zombie in the morning. If I could I’d sleep all day and stay up all night I would do just that. But there are benefits to dragging my butt out of bed at stupid o’clock. For one thing I like getting all my blog posts done early in the morning. Another thing I love about early morning wake up calls is not having to rush. I can get my workout in, do my morning tasks, and take a long hot shower without rushing around like a chicken without a head! So, yeah, waking up early in the morning makes my love list even as a non-morning person.

Smartly Summertime Shaving Foam
Just a buck (well, a buck nineteen) and oh so awesome. I’m obsessed with the happy, citrus scent of anything in the Summertime range from Smartly! The shaving cream is thick, rich, and a great budget pick for shaving legs.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Foundation
I feel like I’ve spent so much of life changing and switching up foundations but I’ve finally settled on the fact that I really love Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Foundation. It’s light, it’s creamy, it brightens my complexion, it’s perfect and I realized I can just stick with it and have great coverage everyday versus always trying something new.

Exercise
I seriously groaned and moaned and whine all the way to the basement this morning to hop on the treadmill. It’s raining out so I couldn’t do my normal two mile power walk outside. The combination of too much weekend, rain, and wanting to sleep a little while longer made it hard to hop on the treadmill this morning but I did it and I’m happy I did because I felt so much better for it not to mention it woke me up (especially the steep uphill at the end)! Sometimes we gotta do things we don’t want to but really should because we know they’ll make us feel great.

Brown Cow Maple Yogurt
I’m not a breakfast person but this morning I wanted to have something in my tummy before heading to a meeting (Yeah, a real live meeting! I posted about the scariness of that on Instagram if you wanna have a read). Brown Cow makes the best yogurt in the world. So creamy!

My Boyfriend
For pumping me up today and reminding me he can’t always be there for me to hide behind! I was really worried about having my first in person meeting in over a year today but he was there to hold me this morning and tell me it’ll be fine and I’ll do great and I’m not going to die simply by meeting someone in person! When it’s time for him to head back to campus I’m not really sure how I’m going to handle it. As some of you know he works in Cupertino and travels back and fourth but this past year and a half he’s been working from home. It’s a novelty having him home!

I hope whatever you have to do today you do it with a brave face and plenty of confidence.

I know you got this and so do I.

I have hopes you’ll have a great, productive Monday.

Be well, be a good human, wear your sunscreen, and drink plenty of water (your skin will thank you for it)!

And if you have time go ahead and share your Monday love list.
