About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

    Hey Muse~!
Just stopping by to say hi. Just wanted to tell you I read your blog every day, check it almost every other min. for new updates. Highlight of my day at work is reading your site while eatting lunch at my desk (then I run out to Sephora or goggle some more about the stuff you mentioned, ssshhhh…..)

I just started using LUSH last week, I took up on that *Naked* deal, so I got my Sweet Japanese Girl for free, yippie!

Have to say though, I’m bit lazy, so Angels on Bare Skin seems to be too much work for me, but I love how it makes my skin soo sooo sooo dewy~ I can never get it to be a paste like you said. any suggestions?

I love Shangri-la, I only put a little bit on my cheeks at night, but it’s feels soo nice. Also, did I tell you Sweet Japanese Girl freaked me out? OMG, she was so oily the first time I used it. It felt like rubbing shea butter on my face. But then I told myself to just try it and give it a chance. I rinsed with warm water, then patted my face dry. OMG!!! I can’t believe how soft and smooth my skin was. It wasn’t one of those squeeky clean feeling, but it was soft, like really dewy feeling. Not shinny at all. Then I put on my Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Cream, tada! Beautiful skin.

Anyways, sorry for babbling. I read your LUSH entries like manual to use that stuff. So I really wanted to tell you how it worked on me.

I have a suggestion, would you be interested in doing two FOTD comparing drug store brands and high-end brands? or Japanese vs. MAC look? I’d be interested in seeing how different can a $18 blue e/s look next to a $6 blue e/s.

    Thanks~

Oh my god Stephanie hi! I’m loving this long post 🙂

I adore questions and feedback and such :)!

Let me first thank you for posting a comment. Let me thank you some more for reading my insanity on my blog 🙂 I’m a big babbler and I’m always utterly flattered when someone enjoys what I write…so big thanks!

LOL I love that you google the products afterwards 🙂 Please feel free to leave your feedback or questions right here and know I’m always right here to listen!

I’m glad you nabbed the “naked” deal! Lush likes when people are naked hehehe!

I can do a video for the Angels on Bare Skin showing you how to work it into a good paste. My trick is to take a nickel (or sometimes a quarter) size amount and add a nice drop of water to saturate it. I rub my index finger middle finger into that and work work work it. I add a drop more of water and keep kneading it with my two fingers. Presto! A good paste! Just takes a little practice 🙂

Skin Shangri-la is going to be a god sent in the winter! it’s such a perfect moisturizer for the colder months!

Sweet Japanese Girl and Baby Face are VERY weird at first and greasy as hell but after you get a knack for using it they work a dream! Normally I use baby face in the shower…wet it with hot water…swipe it all over my face…and rinse under the shower head…afterwards my face still feels greasy so I use ocean salt to scrub that all away and when I step out of the shower my face just feels fantastic!

Gosh I’m so pleased you’re loving the Lush 🙂 I think they make fab skincare and it’s so nice to hear people are digging it!

Babble on please I adore it!

I’d totally be interested in comparing some high end to low end!

Only problem is that the only drugstore brands I have are japanese and none are american..so I can definately do a MAC vs Japanese…etc.. 🙂

I’ll see what I can do about doing a blue look with some Japanese products and a blue look with MAC!

    Deal?

    🙂

Thanks so very much for your feedback!

Expect a video shortly for angels on bare skin 😉

    Many Hugs!

    hi there!

    I normally order from jpmon.com, adambeauty.com, gooddealer.com, and ebay!

Adambeauty has the best prices for cosmetics around in my opinion 🙂

Are you looking for any brand or palette in particular? I can tell you the best place to get it!

    Hugs!
