About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Seems like Stila doesn’t like first time shopper taking advantage of the sale. I couldn’t check out my items. I got to the last step of even entering my credit card info, but when I clicked check out, it popped an error msg and all of the items in my shopping bag were gone. Then I went back and tried it again. This time I couldn’t register as a new user, because I entered my email address the first time. And they won’t let me log-in either.

Oh wells, I was interested in the Check duo, Glacier e/s palette and the lip glaze, thought I’d give Stila another chance since she has failed to impress me. But I guess another time.

Just wanted to let you know, I threw away the LUSH Crush Course mask, and my skin’s gettting better, but can’t avoid the one or two volcanic ones just before my monthly. I like LUSH, but it’s really messy to use. In the shower, and over the sink, it really doesn’t fit in to what I’m normally used to. I even bought soap holders for it, but it leaves residues and just messy.

Oh the Estee Lauder brush cleaner is pretty good. It has a high alcohol content, because I could smell it from the bottle. But I’d like to think it disinfects my brushes, which is a plus since my skin’s so breakout prone. I used to use the Clinque one, it’s a spray bottle, similiar in formula to the Estee Lauder one. I like how I can just spray it over the brush and run it over a paper towel. With EL, I have to pour it on a paper towel and run the brushes over it, which IMHO doesn’t work as well.

Over the wknd, I stopped by Nordie and they had a huge beauty event. Perscriptive did a custom blend foundation for me. I like it, and they added oil control in it too, so it stayed on pretty well. But, $68??? good lord, that’s like my GA LSF. so I passed on it. they won’t give me samples either.. boohoo~

would you pls do a FOTD with the Sephora face you put up? LOve the blue/purple e/s.

    hey sweetie!

Weird. Really? Want me to try for you?

Stila does have a knack for failing sometimes 🙁 Not all the products are great ones although the packaging does wow and delight me at times!

That’s fantastic! I was worried what was up! Crash Course must have been the culprit!
    🙁

Lush does tend to be messy when it comes to shampoo bars, soaps, etc…I normally use the draining soap dishes so I have little to no clean up!

I’m tempted to try the EL brush cleaner now! Sounds interesting! I’ve used the MAC cleaner for ages.

I normally dump an entire bottle’s worth of cleaner in a large cup and swish my brushes around in it. Than let them sit for a while, give another swish after sometime has passed and finally rinse with cold water and air dry!

I’ve been meaning to try the BE fast dry cleaner which lets you spray on, wipe and use the next color. This tempts me because sometimes I hate how I’m using the same brush for contour and lid and suddenly I have a muddy mess!

$68 bucks is a bit much for foundation. I’ve been lemming a custom blend but the price puts me off completely. It’s a bit too much especially. It’ll last a few months but still!

I sure will do the FOTD blue and purple 🙂 I’m curious what I can come up with! Loving those colors too 😉

Thanks for the offer Muse! I tried it again, it still doesn’t work. Once I log-in it blocks me from the sale part of the website. ugh. oh wells, it just wasn’t meant to be. But I hate missing out on sales, especially 50% off sales!

I am so pooped from work. Stress and lack of sleep is making me break out. Oh I wish my face would get better, so i can start wearing makeup again.
