VOV Castledew Diecut Eyes and Lip Palette

VOV takes ages to update it’s official site however I came across these rather awesome palettes entitled Castledew Diecut Eyes. I’m unsure if the palettes are new as they aren’t displayed on the VOV site, either way they do look very nice and I’m debating on purchasing them.

Since I’ve been slightly disappointed with the couple of VOV palettes I have purchased I’m kinda wary of dishing out money for these but the price is really cheap at 12,980 won so I may just indulge and see if I get lucky!

Aren’t they gorgeous?

Each palette contains nine shades and two applications enclosed in the typical VOV mirror compact.

They look lovely but as I said I’ve been disappointed before by VOV and color payoff on their other Castledew palettes has been mediocre at best!

But who knows they might be great!

Want ’em?

Love ’em?

    Hi the Muse!

The first palette is gorgeous. The 2nd palette reminds me of NYX single eyeshadow in term of the cushy pillowy look 😀

I have VOV cream stick shadow that looks like a MAC shadestick. I bought it a while back in a Korean store and they charged me an arm and a leg! The poor thing is really pretty but creases like mad.

  • ???

    Musey you bad bad girl!

Tempting me in almost every way!

It looks pretty alright! Very princess-y if you ask me!

    😀

    Much better looking than Banila!!

    cheers,
    plue

Ooh, I love the pattern on the 1st palette!

How much is 12,980won in USD? I wonder if my local VOV stockists will have these!

  • helly

    gahhhhhhh! lol
they’re soooooooo cute and princessy!! i love the first one and the lip palette!!!

but for some strangeeee unknown reason, despite how pretty korean makeup is, i still feel more for jap stuff. 😛 except they’re not doing much to impress much 🙁

  • the Muse

    hi Dao!

It does kinda sport that NYX feel 🙂 These are so pretty but I fear they’ll be rubbish in color payoff 😛

Oh my god those retail for less than $5! I can’t believe how many online and offline shops for that matter who jack prices up so unfair 🙁

  • the Muse

    hi plue!

    LOL I try 😉

Very princessyyyyy and much prettier than Banila Co’s new line 😛

  • the Muse

    hi there leclassique!

Me too…I was so loving that purple plum shade in the 1st palette too as well as the design!

It’s around $11-12 usd. 🙂 Do let me know if they have these and if the price is the same..curious minds!

    Cheers!
Thanks for the comment, hope to hear from you soon!

    hi helly!

    LOL agreed 🙂

Well Japanese items are kinda better in terms of quality as well as color pay off so it’s understandable why you love j stuff so much 🙂 But yes, I agree japanese stuff hasn’t thrilled me lately!

    Hi Muse,

This is the first time I’ve seen you speak of VOV. Once I saw the pics I had to look them up (it was a bit hard to find at first).
I also found Kathi’s Lotus Palace blog and saw a very pretty blusher by this brand.
If you’ve ever purchased some of these products, where did you get yours and was the pricing decent?
Also, have you ever tried any Chinese/Taiwanese brands? I get a few Taiwanese (and by the way loads of Japanese) fashion magazines and I’ve thought some of the items from Chic Choc were cute.

Thanks so much for showing this brand to us! 🙂

    Hello miss D.

I’ve spoken about VOV in my Korean round up post before 🙂 and a few other posts. I just never tagged them but if you search you’ll find them 🙂

VOV is a rather great korean brand.

I get mine sent to me from a friend who lives in Korea. The only other place I know of to purchase is gmarket and of course ebay.

I haven’t tried Chinese or Taiwanese brands only Japanese and Korean and Singaporean brands 🙂

Chic Choc does have some uber cute items but I’ve never seen them around and I’d have to track down a cp’er to get ’em 🙁

You’re most welcome. If you look under the “Korean brand” tag on my blog you’ll find a ton or “Japanese Brands”

    Cheers!
    Thanks for the comment!

    hehehhe

    • the Muse

      ‘ello verina!

ummmm it’s converted to around $3-4 bucks USD per an eyeshadow in Korea probably even less actually depending on which castledew shadows he gets and the blush is less than $5 as well again depending on which he gets. Very cheap stuff hunny!

  • sharon

hello. i just pass by. i wonder how much is it in australia dollar?
    any free deliver to perth?

    • the Muse

sharon you can’t purchase makeup here. This is a beauty blog. Hope this helps.

  • Fey

I’ve actually got too of these palettes, from when I was in South Korea. Both of them are eye shadow palettes, like the one to the far left in the picture (with the geometric imprints). The first one contains pastel colors, (white, lime, sky blue, etc), and is for dry application. I found that the pigmentation is so-so, like you said. The other palette is baked and full of smoky colors. THAT palette is VERY pigmented.
If you do decide to get one of these, I suggest one of the wet/dry palettes. The packaging is very gorgeous…but not very sturdy. Mine haven’t broken on me, but one of the closing clasps stopped working as it was at the bottom of my purse for awhile.

    • the Muse

Hi Fey yup I got both of these a while ago. The quality is awesome but I agree a bit flimsy packaging wise.
