Cover FX Conceal FX Camouflage Concealer Review and Swatches
Cover FX Conceal FX Camouflage Concealer is one of the weirdest concealers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. With a color match that was completely wrong on so many levels….hello gross orange shade….and a formula that’s all kinds of strangeness, it did so take me a second to get my kicks on with this guy.

Ok, so you have to be willing to put in a little time and a little patience when it comes to Cover FX’s first ever concealer. It takes a little while to love this but I’m taking bets you will adore it after a week of use.
The bad….
It stinks. I dunno what kinda smell it has going on but it’s yuck-o. It’s kinda a herbal, dirt, chemical cocktail that I don’t have a name for. No likey. It’s orange. The two lightest shades were complete and utterly orange beige and just strange. I took one look and ran far away. I mean seriously orange concealer? No worky. It has a wicked weird formula that completely turned me off. First few uses was like a bottle of ketchup that was hanging in my fridge too long. You know when you have to squeeze the bottle to get the gross water out that separated from the actual ketchup before using it…..come on people you so know what I mean. That’s the concealer for the first few uses…it’s all watery and….and…wrong.
I was determined to like this so I kept going for a a week or so. Mind you I’m so impatient and I want instant results with most anything I buy so sticking with anything a week or more is saying something.
Now?
I absolutely love it.
After getting past the initial weird watery texture you’ll end up with a good solid formula. It’s not moisturizing but more of a silicon almost vinyl feel. A single dot will do your entire eye…don’t go over board, it’s very, very, very pigmented so a tiny dot is plenty. The color? No worries about that weird orange color it actually lightens as you blend. The product starts off a strange orangey beige but as you blend in you’ll notice it becomes lighter and lighter until it suits your tone perfectly. I tried it in X-Light and at first it didn’t match at all but with proper blending it was the perfect shade.
About that silicon-like formula that kinda feels like vinyl, that would be the built in primer that the concealer’s formula carries along with it. While concealing it repairs and conditions the eye area. Coverage is pigmented yet lightweight with a smooth, beautiful finish. It blends fairly easily and wears incredibly long.
It’s $25 and probably the best bang for your buck since you could probably go a year or more without purchasing against considering a single dot will do you.
I absolutely loved this. Truly the formula, the smell, and the color threw me a curve ball and I was on the verge of flinging it across the room at first try but I’m ever so glad I stuck with it. It’s one of those unique concealers that could possibly become HG (holy grail) material after further testing.
Muse Approved for purchase. Check it out for yourself, if possible try it in store, you’ll be amazed at how the color changes and morphs into the perfect concealer shade.
Loves it!
Anyone try yet?
