Want It: Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette True Love

Morning loves, Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Hope you had a great one.

This morning my roaming eye caught the attention of the new Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette True Love. Oh my god hello gorgeous wanna be BFF? It looks like another winning palette from Kat Von D and I do believe I need it in my life.

Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette True Love

Shades included are:

  • Peanut
  • Benji
  • Rebekah
  • Lucifier
  • Cholita
  • Shiba
  • Babe
  • Missy

It’s a little bit of an unusual color selection as the shades go from brown and neutral to bolder. It’s an interesting one as most of Kat’s palettes follow some sort of color graduation where as this just seems to be split into two separate color selections.

It’s $34 but “temporarily out of stock” at Sephora. I find this only means it’s not yet in stock. Since the word is out on the street that Sephora’s Friend and Family Event is taking place mighty soon I’m thinking that this here palette will hold a prominent position in my online cart.

What do yo think?

Has potential haulability for you?

Not so much?

    this palette looks gorgeous!
I have one of the first two (Beethoven) and I love it. The quality is great and the color payoff is pretty true. I believe I want this one too 😛

      hey misstat

I absolutely adore the palettes too 😀 very good color payoff for the price. I hate the cream though 😛 but aside from that they are gems!

This is gorgeous , but since the holidays bring fantastic collections and deals from most of the major brands, I’m going to bite my lip and wait a little bit before deciding what to buy.

For instance, Tarte is coming out with its third annual holiday palette with 16 matte e/s, 16 shimmering e/s, 16 lipglosses, 4 blushes, bronzer and luminizer in fab colors for just $52! Have you seen that one? Check it out. Lemming it sooo bad!

hi mara I hear you! I buy the Tarte Holiday Palette every year 😀 it’s a killer deal. Have a look at my past posts and you can see pics and swatches etc…:-D It’s a great one. This year the palette is considerably larger as well to resemble more of a treasure chest, cute 😀

It looks like many brands are releasing some really great kits this year due to the economy and consumers wanting to spend less and get more. It’s an exciting time for makeup junkies! 😀

I just bought “Ludwig” and love it all! This palette also caught my eye but I was bummed to see it was out of stock at the moment. I’ve got it on my favs and will for sure be picking this one up. I’m thinking about trying one of her autograph eyeliners but still on the edge.

hey erica that OOS is prob b/c sephora didn’t actually get stock in yet 😀 It’ll be there soon I’m betting 😀 I’m not good with liquid liner so haven’t indulged if you do give us the word 😀

Hi Happy almost Tuesday. I have it saved in my favorite lists. I have all the other palettes and my 500 pointer is on its way to me this week with the perfume ring.. I really love the shadows best over udpp or shadow insurance. I don’t think there is one color in any of the palettes that I haven’t used. I generally don’t like the Sephora owned shadows but the Kat Von D are excellent and not like the others imo.

      hi melissa

happy tuesday hun! I concur! The shadows are considerably better quality than Sephora. It’s interesting as they put alot of good stuff in each 😀

Dang it, Muse…another Sephora order to make on my end! 🙂

I am so happy with the Kat Von D palettes I have, and this one has my fave color, purple…so, it’s a must-have, too!

I just got mine from the order I placed online. They’re SUPER pretty. I love it. The shadow Benji is actually a cream shadow. At first I was sad about that because in the Gypsy palette that’s my least favorite one because of texture HOWEVER this one is so much creamier. I think they changed the formula of it because it applies SO much better (or maybe the one from the Gypsy palette was just a dud… anyway). The white color, Missy is a duochrome purpley color. I LOVE this palette. So excited to try a look with it tomorrow. 🙂

Thanks for the updates and reviews. I love your website. 🙂

fantastic Stephanie! Glad you’re loving ’em 😀 I got mine too and like them very much! I noticed it was a better quality of a cream this time too!!!!!!!!! aw thanks hun, really appreciate the lovely compliment/comment!

      😀

      Can’t wait to use mine!

I have to have this palette at first sight I’m a huge fan of both purples and golds) but compared to some of the other palettes from Kat von D, I was a bit let down.
The cream shadow in this palette was a bit dry and sticky for me, difficult to blend and apply.
The dark reddish purple was the biggest letdown because no matter how you apply it, it looks grey/black. The warm looking brown is the same way… it looks totally different outside the pan! On the positive side, both the lightest shades are dreamy and wonderful highlighters, and the black is a very pigmented and true black. Probably not the set to buy if you’re looking for vibrant purples… NOW if only they would release these colors a la carte so I can buy “peanut” by itself.
