Bare Escentuals Beautiful in Pearls Gift Set

In the beginning there were diamonds, platinum, even gold, and soon after rubies and now Bare Escentuals brings us Pearls.

Bare Escentuals Beautiful in Pearls Gift Set 1

Anyone get in on the Bare Escentuals Beautiful in Pearls 10 Piece Set that was offered via QVC this past weekend (or at least I think it was this weekend, I Tivo’ed the shows so not sure on the exact dates)?

I love when BE does these little exclusives for QVC, totally makes my makeup world brighter.

This one, as many kits are when it comes to QVC, is quite cheap, priced at under $50 bucks, for 10 pieces. Sweetness.

The pieces in the kit are infused with crushed pearl powder mmm yes I think we’ve been down this road before. Crushed diamonds, crushed rubies, etc…but hey I love it, bring on the pearl!

The kit is actual an auto ship item which is pretty typical when it comes to BE sets. Basically you can order it one time or receive 3 additional kits up until September of next year. I kinda dig auto ship as it’s like getting an extra little surprise in the mail way after Christmas is over.

The set includes:

  • Bare Escentuals Blissful Pearl Eye Color (peach)
  • Bare Escentuals Magnificent Pearl (charcoal taupe)
  • Bare Escentuals Big and Bright Mineral Eyeliner Pencil (black)
  • Bare Escentuals Flawless Definition Mascara (black)
  • Bare Escentuals Precious Pearl Blush (dusty pink)
  • Bare Escentuals Brightening Pearl Mineral Veil
  • Bare Escentuals Sugared Strawberry 100% Natural Lip Gloss (rose berry)
  • Precision Eye Defining Brush, Tapered Blush Brush, Flawless Application Brush

The items in the set are exclusive to QVC ranging in dates from December all the way through January. Meaning you can only get them in this kit until they release else where at a later date. I didn’t personally pick up the kit as the colors just didn’t appeal to me however I did order an auto ship for a friend who won’t be around for Christmas this year as she’ll be in Europe. So basically she’ll get her first kit shortly as an early Christmas gift and will get the other sets as a little “surprise” over the course of the year when she returns home.

For myself I wasn’t feeling the love for the colors in this kit and wasn’t willing to commit to further kits especially since each comes with brushes and veil and I can’t see myself finishing one veil or needing more brushes in my life.

As a gift I think it’s lovely but for myself I safely skipped. I was surprised and a little shocked how easy it was for me to just say no but in this case BE hasn’t thrilled me too, too much this Holiday season.

If you’re wanting to haul the item number is A92182.

Anyone get it?

I actually like the look of the brushes, as I’m a fan of white goat hair brushes (great for blending). Generally though I’m not an overall fan of mineral make-up due to the mess. I’ll put up with it for loose face powder, eyeshadows and pigments for their superior colour pay-off but otherwise loose powder products end up unused in my stash. I will try and get me some Queen Tiffany one of these days just to check out the hype.
