Hard Candy Button Your Lipgloss and Liner Diva Review and Swatches
Hey lovies!
How’s everyone doing on the Hard Candy front? Everyone get a chance to see the line? Try it? What are your thoughts so far?
I think it’s pretty good. It’s not fabulous mind you but the quality lives up to the hype and the price is appealing as all heck.
Today I have Hard Candy Button Your Lipgloss and Liner on my lips in Diva so I thought I’d give you the good word on the set!
At $8 I’d say that the Hard Candy Button Your Lipgloss and Liner Sets are probably in the higher price range as most of the items are in the $6 department but do keep in mind you get a gloss and liner as a set for the price.
First off I do think it deserves to be mentioned $8 is way too much to spend on the set if you don’t use liner. I happen to fall into the do not want category in regards to lip liner so the set is a little bit higher end if I’m going to use just the gloss and toss the liner. On another note I thought the liner included with my particular set was way off base. I got the shade selection Diva which is a fiery gorgeous orange but the liner is a dull brown…see my dilemma? Glad I’m not a lip liner lover as I’d be sincerely disappointed how badly the brown liner pairs up with the fiery orange of the gloss.
Aside from these minor rants I’m on board with the gloss. The gloss is a fine product! Nicely pigmented, good tack and stick for decent wearing and tearing, glides nicely on the lips, and a great little click pen lip brush for application (love this style of applicator!). The shade could prove to be a somewhat decent dupe for MAC Pink Grapefruit, could be why I choose it. Diva is a mix of orange, red, gold, and coral with a shimmering gold finish, quite bold and vibrant.
I’d probably buy again if they would opt to bring the price down to $6 and ditch the liner. Overall, another nice one from Hard Candy!
