The Muse’s Gift Ideas: Give the Gift of Makeup on the Cheap

Gift Ideas from the Muse

My friends and family aren’t as nearly obsessed with makeup as I am but they sure do like getting gifts from me that are of the cosmetic variety. Makeup, cosmetics, skincare, etc…aren’t always the cheapest option to give but here’s some tips and tricks to give the gift of makeup on the cheap!

Check it!

The Muse suggests purchasing some nice boxes and tissue paper at your local Target for a buck (love the dollar bins) or if you have ALOT of friends and family hit up Oriental Trading to buy boxes in lots of 12 for as little as $3.99-$4.99 with free shipping (loving you free shipping).

So why do you need the boxes? You need them for filling up with cool cosmetic finds.

First off you’ll need some brushes so hit up E.L.F. and get brushes for a buck or sets of 12 for $12. Hello cheapness?

Cosmetic Brushes

Don’t be stingy…grab a pack of sponges, some puffs, and other cosmetic bits and bobs and tuck them into the box as well.

Now fill those boxes with great cosmetics.

Snag makeup for as little as $4.99 Each at Lorac’s VIP Sale.

Spice it up by hitting Smashbox’s Curtain Call section. Use promo code sff91 for 20% Off and Free Shipping. Prices aren’t particularly cheap but with 20% off and a Smashbox lover in your life you’ll end up making up a nice little gift.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
