Bare Escentuals Spring Collection 2010: Bare Escentuals Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Balms

Bare Escentuals Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Balms 1

Ohhhhh something new from Bare Escentuals this Spring kids. Bare Escentuals Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Balms squeal!

The Muse is feeling the love for these! Bare Escentuals Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Balms are a highly emollient, pout-plumping balm that drenches lips with exceptional comfort and hydration in sheer, shiny and a subtle bit of color.

They had me at “emollient”! If they turn out to be an ooey gooey creation I’m sure it’ll be a great love. I’ll even overlook the fact that I have to dip my fingers in it!

Looking good right?

$15 each and available in the following shades:

  • Bora Bora (Cherry Red)
  • Copacabana (Nude)
  • Portofino (Plum Wine)
  • St. Barth (Lilac)
  • Waikiki (Bright Pink)

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Uggg so nice but seriously I CANT overlook the fingerdipping haha. Awkward to do in class hehe. And then what do you do after it’s on your finger? Too bad. So pretty!

Does BE ever really do new collections?

    • the Muse

Hailee wipe it on your jeans! LOL!

      kidding!

They don’t do an entire collections in my experience but they sort of release new products and than go to town with new kits…..never really a collection of makeup as in a blush, eye palette, etc…normally it’s a new kit that includes the whole deal 🙂

Oh dear….You had me at emollient too. Crikey! I do have a gift card that has been waiting patiently to be used…but alas I wanted to try the Philosophy Miracle Worker. What to do?!?!

Oh and to top it off had the most HORRID experience in the Sephora Soho store…. it was so bad I actually emailed their corporate offices! :*(

Do you know if this will be avail on the BE site or stores?

    • the Muse

omg I’m such a gossip whore tell me all about what happened at the Soho store. I’m not a fan of that store. Deets, deets! 🙂

I wanna try the miracle worker to! damn! 😀 I smelled Flirty Girl a few days ago and my sis brought it, so jealous! But I was good and didn’t bother. I’d go with the Miracle Worker, since it’s winter I’m always about new skincare plus it contains a ton of good stuff aging wise. You can always get the balm in the Spring 🙂

So far it’s at Sephora is exclusively carrying it but hopefully BE will too later on…..!

Was in there this past weekend. Just browsing with my mum and she wanted a sample of a new Estee product. Now while my mom may a bit of an Asian accent, it’s not as if you cannot understand her. She asks the nearest salesperson, who starts speaking very slowly to her. “HOOOW CANNN I HEEELP YOUUUU?” That started me off on the wrong foot, so I say “We speak English. Actually I’ve probably been speaking english before you were born” (my mom kicked me for that last part).

Anyway, we go on and ask for a sample of a the face cream that my mom wanted (which I’ve never had a problem getting samples at any other store). The girl looks at me rolls her eyes and say “I guess, but we’re not here to give samples.” I explain to her that I’ve gotten samples at the store in Garden State Plaza with no issues and she responds “well that’s there”.

I look at her, grab my mom and walk over to the checkout counter to ask for the manager, who happen to be right there. I hand over to her my basket filled of all the new Phil 3 in ones (oh cherry on top), tell her that I will never step foot in this store again with such horrible customer service and walk away.

Sorry it’s so long (I tend to blab)

Kat that’s crazy. My dad has a tiny bit of an accent as well and people treat him like this in stores and such as well. Like he just got off the flight from Siberia and doesn’t know his ABC’s. WTH? LOL good for you for getting a little dig in there.

I dunno why a sample would be a problem….jeez some of these people have no customer service skills AT ALL. And than they wonder why they go out of business.

LOL not long at all good for you! You don’t deserve to be treated like an idiot nor does your poor mum! Believe me I’ve been treated VERY shabby in many shops and I’m appalled sometimes by the behavior. People simply ignore me, treat me rudely, or just generally don’t know anything about what they are selling. what has happened to the world of CS?!?

  • Jeweled Thumb (Ivy)

These would be perfect if they came in a tube… I hate lip stuff in a pot. =/

    • the Muse

hey jeweled. yup same prob for me but if it’s emollient I don’t care still WANT 😀

  • imprompturoses

I actually like fingerdipping to be honest ^_____^ … I know it’s odd, but I enjoy touching my lips. If you do decide to haul & review these, Muse, can you please give your opinion of how they feel/look in comparison to Korres’ lip butters (which I adore!).

    • the Muse

but of course roses. I’ll def give impressions 😀 I don’t mind as long as I’m home or some place I know I’ll have clean hands 😀 Otherwise I hate doing it! I’m such a germ-a-phobe 🙂

  • Melissa

I recently discovered why I loathe dipping. (Lipgloss/Balms) My favorite balm is lush or or anything in that gooey soft family. (Not a huge fan of the korres ones.) I keep them in my in my draws at work. So First I pump a little hand sanitizer, then I go for the balm. So – Maybe the sanitizer stuff is what is actually drying out the balms. I actually put my Lush balm in squeeze tube from something else and it works great because its gooey. The korres one would be too hard for this I think. On a side note – The Laura Geller gloss balm in *squeeze tube* is very emollient. I will see if the local Sephora store has any left before I order a few more. I got one in the QVC kit and it has a little color and is very creamy.

melissa I’m so anal about this but I just make sure my hands are clean before dipping 😀 interesting about putting lush balm in a squeeze tube cool! 🙂 I never tried the LG one but seen it around. seems LG is still very much alive and kicking on Sephora, wasn’t discounted enough and the prices are still kinda vast for a sale 🙂
