Latest Obsession: Clarins Gentle Beauty Soap Review

The Muse admits on a rare occasion she comes home feeling rather lazy and not wanting to go through the entire process that makes up her night time cleansing regime. Lord, it takes ages just to get ones face clean on some nights.

When I’m feeling every so knackered and not up for the long process I take a little short cut with the new Clarins Gentle Beauty Soap.

Loves it!

A mere $15 bucks snags you a bit old hunk of Clarins Gentle Beauty Soap. People, this thing is economy size! You can easily use it daily for a year without it shrinking down to size I’m thinking. It’s really a big piece of soap which can actually multitask for face or body, personally the idea of using it on my body and following up on my face does not appeal which is why getting two bars is a good idea.

It’s a certified organic soap that’s delicately scented. It smells herbal to me, almost lavender, very pleasant. The soap gently cleanses while maintaining pH balance so your skin isn’t left dry or tight but nicely hydrated and normal. It foams up as any soap would and you can gently remove base makeup with it. I wouldn’t suggest heading into your cleanse with eye makeup or waterproof mascara, remove those first and proceed to follow up with the Clarins Gentle Beauty Soap.

The soap leaves my skin feeling very clean, squeaky clean in fact without drying it out. One important thing, don’t get it in your eyes, it stings brutally, either that or I’m sensitive.

Overall, Clarins Gentle Beauty Soap is fabulous for everyday use. If you’re on a bit of a budget and can’t indulge in a ton of product the price of this should appeal, particularly because of it’s large size that will last ages. It’s also rather ideal for anyone who has a no nonsense take on cleansing your face or if you’re trying to quickly remove your makeup so you can snag some z’s. The product travels beautifully as well considering everything is forbidden as a carry on lately with the airlines. For the Muse it’s ideal for removing my makeup in a flash on the lazy days that I just want to get to bed fast!

Loves it.

Muse Approval for purchase for value, quality, and simplicity.

Have you tried a cleansing facial bar before?

This isn’t my first experience with a beauty bar before as I’m a big fan of Lush Queen of Hearts so I generally like them!

Available now from Clarins.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. damn no kristina that would rock! but you never know Clarins might do it in the future maybe a GWP of some sort!? I don’t think they even sale a case/dish for it as far as I know. it’s still pretty new so give your counter a sec to get it. 😀 right now I have mine sitting in a dish itself which I got for 2 bucks at Bed, Bath, and Beyond!
