The Skin Food Black Sugar Cleansing Oil Review

Oh Imma a love Skin Food Black Sugar Cleansing Oil! It smells like Fresh Lemon Sugar perfume! I know some folk aren’t keen on scented cleansers and skincare but part of it’s appeal is definitely the lovely scent.

Take a little jump to check it!

The Skin Food Black Sugar Cleansing Oil comes housed in a pump jar, likey. Definitely a plus that it comes in a pump jar as many of the other cleansing oils from the brand do not have the feature. Totally a pet peeve of mine when cleansing oil comes without a pump.

The novelty of the oil for me is the smell of sugary lemons that wafts up as you clean your face. It pretty much works as any other standard cleansing oil. Simply apply to a dry face (full of makeup), massage in, add a tiny bit of water to emulsify, and rinse! It’s a thinner consistency compared to other oils and I noticed it isn’t completely effective at removing waterproof mascara but this doesn’t really bother me much as I normally use eye makeup remover prior to using a cleansing oil anyway. However, this could prove a pain if you depend solely on your oil to get everything off.

It’s not my favorite cleansing oil by any means but it’s a very nice one, particularly as I mentioned because of the yummie scent!

Skin Food is a Korean brand available exclusively within Korean however the Singaporean site ships worldwide but pricing is very jacked up so I suggest searching on Sasa or E-bay for a better deal!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I personally love skin food as well. All of their products smell so yummy! I would recommend their nail polishes too, if you want to try them out sometime. ^^

hi jc I like Shu the best 🙂

cleansing oil is an oil and cleansing cream is a cream formula.

Hello ^^ I’m using the Skin Food Black sugar cleansing but one with little massage grain to scrub. Eh, the thing is it’s so effective that I’m afraid whether it can be used daily T__T Do you used your cleansing everyday?

So to date, what brand is your favourite cleansing oil?

I double cleanse as well but I do it the abnormal lazy way. First I use a cleansing oil (innisfree olive one), which then I use a paper towel to dry and rub off the make that didnt rinse properly but has melted and easily rubbed off.
Next, I double cleanse with bioderma cleansing miscellar water… Then I just proceed with basic skincare.
