You NEED This: Skin Food Cucumber Soothing Mask Review

Oh hai!

What’s up today me loves? Hope everyone is wishing and hoping for their weekend to arrive! Happy early V-Day! And most important Happy Lunar New Year!

I’ve gotten a few requests to review Skin Food Face masks after our little beauty battle between them and Lush so today I’ll bring you one mask that’s turning into a fond fav of mine!

Take a little jump for it!

Skin Food Cucumber Soothing Mask is a true favorite!

You need this mask in your life if:

  • Your skin is dry, itchy, or flaky!
  • Your skin is feeling dehydrated and in need of a cool cup of water!
  • Your skin is craving extra moisture!
  • You’ve had a long and stressful day and your skin is feeling the effects!
  • Your skin is dull, lackluster, and weakly whispering, “save me, save me!”

So what is it?

It’s smells like cucumbers, it looks like cucumber puree, but you can’t eat it! Take a gob and smooth it all over your face! Now leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes or go crazy and watch Diary of a Call Girl for 30 minutes with it on your face! God, I have such a girl crush on Billie Piper.

Now go rinse!

Beautiful, moist, hydrating, glowing skin!

Simple right?

The formula is a thick, ever so slightly sticky gel which has a fresh cucumber scent due to the cucumber extract used in the mix. It feels extra moisturizing when applied onto your face. It starts out life sitting happily on top of your skin but as the minutes pass you can feel it absorbing into your skin, giving it a burst of intense hydration. To me it feels like an ice cold glass of water splashed in my face, particularly when you keep it in the fridge.

The mask comes housed in a large 100g jar (3.5oz). It expires within three months which gives you plenty of time to use it. You can place it in your fridge to cool it off but it does not need to be refrigerated and will live happy on your skin care shelf until expiration.

It soothes my dry skin and shaves off a few years off my tired face at the end of a long, stressful day. You can see the results as soon as you rinse of. Skin is noticeably more smoother, looks rested and nourished, and flakes, itch, and tightness are all gone for good!

Absolutely loves it!

Big Muse Approval for purchase.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
