NYX Lip Lacquer Pot are coming atcha shortly from NYX but while you’re waiting the Muse is here to give you a little sneaky peep.
NYX is releasing 12 shades of lip lacquer sometime this month which will range for $5 each, score, holy cheapness batman! It’s a highly pigmented gloss that can be applied with fingers or a lip brush and comes housed in a tiny pot.
The Muse finds it hard to speak no evil about these little guys as they are quite nice. Not digging the taste as it does have a slightly odd thing going on there but aside from that it’s golden. I tried it in Okie Dokie Artichokie (No, I so did not keep a straight face when I typed that) and found the shade was way off and didn’t look so fab on me however in the pot it’s a rather pretty shade of shimmering nude beige-brown. I see a crimson shade or two on my press sheet which I think will be way more suitable for my skin tone than this particular shade, so yay for hauling when they release later this month as I definitely want to pick those up. The formula is quite thick and emollient and glides on fairly well leaving behind plenty of pigmentation so indeed it lives up to it’s name, “lacquer”. It has a nice glossy shine with the added benefit of great color pay off. I found the jar was a tad too tiny for my finger so fingertip application was a no go but I’m not complaining as I rarely like to touch my lip products.
Overall, the variety of shades combined with the great formula and inexpensive price tag make NYX Lip Lacquer a nice little beauty on a budget pick.
Likey lots, Muse Approved for purchase.
