About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Lookin’ lovely, Muse!

I know I’m definitely gonna pick up a greasepaint stick or two! Not sure on the colors yet, though.

    • the Muse

aw thanks kel you’re too kind dear! I gotta see the other shades in person curious what they are lookin’ like 😀

  • Lindsay

Blues are so pretty on you! This really makes your eyes stand out. You so pretty 😉

  • Nia

Love the blue combo on you! I wish blue would suit me as much as it does you! 🙂

      • Nia

Dead on my feet, but I must only survive until tomorrow 😉

How are things on your end?

  • Samantha

Love it! And gosh is the rain insane! We had rain pouring in through the windows, basement is ruined, all the roads are closed, the river is closed to flooding (Boston). How are you faring in New York?

    • the Muse

omg sam nothing was ruined in your house was it?! I hope not! We are a ok thankfully, lots of rain/water but no flooding thankfully. I live in an old Victorian and thankfully not a spot of rain makes it through these walls, wish I could say the same for outdoors! crazy rain! i knew that good weather we had towards the beginning of the month was a TEASE!

Gorgeous color on you! Love how you applied the blue under your eye as well. How do you keep your under-eye liner in place? I haven’t applied liner under my eye in years because it slides into my fine lines by the end of the day 🙁

    • the Muse

cheers jerseygirl, thank you! 😀 mmm just sticks around 😀 never had a prob with it staying in place tbh. shadow migrates for me unless i prep with Urban Decay Primer Potion but eyeliner I never had a prob with doll!

    hi muse,
i’m so addicted to ur webbie!! hahahha.
hubby was like, arent u supposed to study for ur exams? and each time I’d reply, yeah, I am but this is my break time.. he sorta suggested me to do the same thing wit reviewing make ups, but currently i’m working hard on exams in specialist training. i’m sooo addicted to beauty & skincare, thanks to u, ur webbie brightens my otherwise boring life as a doctor.

oh, anyhow, i soo love the blue eye make up that u have here. as much as i love make ups i have to admit that i am very poor in applying blue hues. mebbie coz i havent learned a lot, mebbie also coz of i cant really wear eye-popping colours to work, other than natural colours. mebbie coz my skin tone is more fair-tan/olive sorta like mixhispanic kinda colour, hence its difficult to play much with blues.
i dont really care about rules on colours coz we r young & we r allowed to play with colours as much as we like, err.. as long as we dont look like clowns.

    keep up the colours muse.
thanks for a great webbie 🙂

    • the Muse

aw thanks aqua 😀 omg how exciting to be studying medicine 😀 get back to work! lol! 😀 I agree, color can be worn by ANYONE 😀 aw thanks hun for the awesome comment, totally made my day!

Good luck with your studies *hugs*

Looks nice on you!! My “list” has been shortened and boy am I glad. I’m getting 1 greasepaint stick in Zinc Zone and then all 6 of the pearlglides (wondering if I should stock up on more.) I’m only getting 1 GPS because honestly, I’m so confused about them. WHAT to do with them and whatnot.. But I thought I’d give Zinc Zone a try. Dirty looks really pretty too.. maybe I should get that as well.. I’m trying to keep it to a minimum though. =P Nordstrom has my stuff on hold.. along with a free gift set =) So anyone who purchase $100+ in cosmetics at Nordstrom, ASK FOR THE FREE GIFT SET. You also get a free Caudalie set too with $135+ purchases.

    • the Muse

thanks kali!!!!!!!!!! I WISH I could get on board with pearlglides but they aren’t waterline safe which totally bums me! cheers thanks for the deets on Nordies babe! 😀 Sweet!!!!!!! You can use as a base, as a liner, as a shadow…they multitask 😀

  • Petra

Oooh, that blue looks heavenly on You! 🙂 Totally got me in the mood for blue eyeshadow. -rainy here too-
As for the greasepaintsticks, I own V and B and prefer them (based on pics) to the ones in this launch, but unless unforeseen events occur, I’ll be picking up Dirty and Brown Now. So excited for this launch lol, pearlglides!!! 🙂

    • the Muse

yay petra 😀 rainy blues=GREAT for blue shadow yo!

I like V and B myself 😀 pearlglides le sigh cannot be used on waterline, stamps feet, I hate that about pearlglides!

  • Tinkerchelle

Whoa! That color is amazing on you! Glad to see you made the most of the rain. Gotta say tho, I’m happy to see some sun on the east coast for a change!

  • Julie

Love the blue on you! Good score on Nordstrom.com…huge gwp with 11 items in a bag when spening $100, the a step up to a $60 Caudalie gwp w/ $35 more…bottom line = 8 greasepaints (each color) x $17.50 = $140, so all the gifts, too! :0)

    • the Muse

thanks julie 😀 SWEET! guess my mac $$ is going to nordies this week! wants GWP!

  • Hana

Pretty! Blue shadow looks awful on me, but you can pull it off really nicely!
