Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties Lil’ Angel Review

Awwww Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties Lil’ Angel is turning out to be the Muse’s fav Sunshine Cutie at the moment. It’s no wonder as I think the regular version of Lil’ Angel happens to be my fav as well!

Jump for my review on Lil’ Angel!

As you know Harajuku Lovers Fragrances are ready for Spring breakin’ with new clothes and new scents. Loves it! The girls now feature bathing suits and fun accessories for the warmer weather plus they have a tropical twist on their scents to complete the package!

Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties Lil’ Angel is proving to be my favorite of the bunch and possibly the one with the most interesting of notes so far. During my testing, up until now, I’ve been able to sniff some of the original blends in the fragrances but Lil’ Angel felt like a completely revamped fragrance and went the route of lemony cake goodness.

Anyone who adores the long gone Bath and Body Works Hello Sugar should try out Lil’ Angel as she’s easily a dupe for the scent. Combing notes of Meyer Lemon, Mandarin, Touch of Blackberry, Pink Rose, Vanilla Orchid, Tropical Sampaquita Blossom, Sugared Patchouli, Vanilla Bean, Skin Musk, and Golden Amber, she’s the warmest of the bunch thus far.

I get a very heavy note of lemon and mandarin from her and a dry down of vanilla which could be what adds the “cake” or foody smell to the scent. For the most part she smells like a lighter version of BBW Hello Sugar! and translates as a foody, fruity lemon cake scent. To my nose I’m smelling white cake with some sort of lemon jelly filling or perhaps as a frosting or a tart of some sort. The other more complicated notes such as amber and patchouli aren’t dominate in the least (I would know as I run from patchouli) and for the most part lemon reigns supreme.

Overall, I must say she’s been the best of the bunch so far and I’m enjoying the scent to the max particularly because I really miss Hello Sugar! now that I’m on my very last bottle of it.

Loves it.

Well worth your sniffling time.

Likey lots.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Woo! Lemony cake is all you had to say. I’m sold! LOL.

Oh dear, Muse! You are such a bad influence. After reading your review, I went on a trip to Sephora to check it out. I smelled it and felt instant love, it smelled just like lemon poppy seed muffins to me! I’m definitely going to haul this. I remember being super excited about G after you mentioned the Sunshine Cuties, but she paled in comparison to Lil’ Angel. If only it would become part of the permanent collection. I wish the limited edition scents came in larger sizes like the permanent collection does.

kendra omg exciting 😀 so glad to hear you likey. I always get hyped when someone loves something as much as me. I gotta say I’m disappointed as well on the size. The only thing I can say is when they discount them (they discounted the winter ones) I’ll be hauling Lil Angel hard. They prob will do $15 again so than we can stock pile it. The perfumes are a tad too tiny and the larger ones would be appreciated particularly for the scents I really love such as this. If you like this do try out the new Victoria’s Secret Lemon scent as well, it’s not nearly as strong but it’s also lemony goodness!

Definitely like a sweet, lemon drizzle cake, but also has a slight caramel smell to it, heated sugar and frangipani flowers too.
