Beauty on a Budget: Wet n’ Wild Mega Length Mascara Review

$3 mascara?

Blasphemy!

Yup, I’m a makeup snob. Present me with $3 buck mascara and I do second guess whether I actually NEED to even try it out. Seriously?

Jump!

Wet n’ Wild Mega Length Mascara is $3 and get this, if $3 bucks is a little too much for you it comes with a $1 off coupon attached to the package.

Haha. I dunno I thought that was funny, I’m the Muse, I’m easily aMUSEd.

Anyway.

$3 buck mascara does scare me but I’m always up for the beauty budget picks lately particularly because readers have requested I cover more drugstore beauty finds and what better than a mascara that performs really well and will set you back less than $5 bucks right?

The good….

This comes with a straight line plastic applicator which doesn’t sport very full bristles but still manages to create great length. Mind you, I’m not in the realms of calling the lengths it achieved “mega” by any means but I’d say very decent for it’s budget price tag. It’s a light formula so it won’t weight lashes down and it seems to wear well sans flaking or smudging. It removes fairly easily as well. What more could a girl want?

The bad….

Nothing. It does what it says and all for $3 bucks ($2 if you use that nifty little coupon).

Final say….

Not a bad mascara by any means and well worth a haul if you’re watching your budget or aren’t interested in splurging on expensive mascara which has to be tossed in a matter of months anyway.

Anyone try?

Do share it!

I have to admit I have a huge obsession with owning a ridiculous amount of drug store mascaras. I can never quite take myself to pay more than 10-12 dollars for mascara but I will buy 4 different mascaras for 9 bucks haha…make sense…absolutely not. Now with that said I probably would never have purchased this mascara until this review, I will def. give it a try now!! Thanks Muse!

      my pleasure tiff!

and SAME HERE! I’ll purchase $9 buck mascara four different times and be completely disappointed with it…so really I could have just indulged in my fav high end brand 😀

      the irony of it all!

I am so in love with Rimmel mascaras right now, especially Rimmel Sexy Curves. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a high end mascara again!

Some German people really swear by the Essence Multi Action mascara, which is only about 3 Euros as well. I like it, too, but I prefer Majolica mascara.

Hehehe, I’m so cheap about mascaras I won’t even BUY them. I just have a ton of half/sample-size mascaras that I keep getting in free gift w/purchase bags.

I recently purchased W-n-W megalength mascara and I LOOOOOVE it! I’m a makeup snob, but I decided to try this only b/c I left my expensive mascara at home and I was going out after work. I walked to the CVS down the street from my office, and purchased this item b/c of the $1 off coupon (just thought this was a “temporary” use item). It quickly became an everyday staple. It makes my lashes look long, thick and beautiful. Not clumpy, or flaky, or messy. I will definitely purchase another tube of this.

glad to hear it Mike’s Future Love 😀 and for the price so awesome right?

Man, let me tell you about how great this mascara is! I love it more than great lash, more than tarte’s amazonian, more than lashblast. It is awesome. The only problem is that it isn’t work appropriate because it’s a little heavy. It is a little slow to dry as well. But, totally worth it.

This is my HG mascara. I have tried many mascaras, even some high end ones, but I keep going back to this one because its cheap, but because it does wonders to my lashes. Right now I have like 5 different mascaras that I like and use but I have to have this one in there as well because I CANT LEAVE WITHOUT IT! And I have like 3 backs up hahaha This is great stuff 🙂
