Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Foundation Review
The Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Collection has hit ASOS so I did some hauling and purchased the concealer and foundation recently.
I already reviewed the concealer and wasnt too impressed to be honest. I imagine youre curious what I think about the foundation right?
Jump!
Im a big fan of Bourjois Paris 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation, loves it, so Id say that Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Foundation fits right in with that as they sport very similar packaging and formulas.
Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Foundation sports a mix of “fruits”, I use the term loosely, to promote a flawless complexion for up the 16 hours of wearing. The mix includes apricot for radiance, melon for hydration, apple as an antioxidant, and ginger for energy. Lots going on here right plus even 8 hours of moisture!
Heres the good….
Its a fab formula and youll love it if you like 10 Hour Sleep Effect. Its not heavy coverage but still sports a thick formula. Youll probably see sheer to medium coverage with this but nothing more. Its not particularly pigmented but its enough to give your face a nice even, smooth, flawless look. Its blends beautifully and feels very hydrating on the face. Best thing about the foundation would be packaging in my humblest. It comes in a pump that allows the foundation to flow easily when depressed, just enough comes out so you aren’t left with a big gob of foundation, quite fuss and mess-free.
The bad…
No way is it lasting 16 hours! It oxidizes on me within 4 tops, I believe I get a little more wear time from 10 Hour Sleep Effect than I do this. I got the lightest shade and even that felt a little too muddy beige for me so it sort of made my skin look a little tired once it was in place and I sadly didnt experience any brightening or radiant looks from it.
Why you might like it…
You might like it if you love 10 Hour. You may also like it if you enjoy lighter coverage thats moist and dewy. These are a few reasons I liked it however I was left feeling it was missing something overall. I was kinda hopeful the antioxidants it contained would temporarily erase dullness and make my skin look brighter and fresher but no such luck.
Its a nice foundation but I probably wouldnt purchase it again once I ran out. If youre gearing up to buy a Bourjois Paris foundation at the moment, might I suggest you lay your money on 10 Hour Sleep Effect and skip out on Healthy Mix.
