Which Would You Buy?: NARS Pure Sheer Lip Treatment and Bobbi Brown Treatment Lip Shine

Oh good morning loves of my lives (yes, lives, I have several).

What’s news? Anyone notice some mega beauty trending going on lately? I’ll get into that more later but I see a little trend developing with slim line lippies, yes please, I like those. MAC Slimshine are my FAVORITE slim line lipstick do you think they’ll be back soon since my little eyes spy slime line lipsticks popping up from both NARS and Bobbi Brown.

Which would you buy? NARS? Bobbi Brown?

I swear I needs me some Bobbi Brown Treatment Lip Shine! You know Bobbi does lips right so I have every confidence in the world she’ll create some uber awesome formula with these.

Bobbi Brown Treatment Lipshine SPF 15 ($22) is a lightweight, soft-shine lipstick that doubles as a rejuvenating moisture treatment. It instantly comforts dry, chapped lips and provides long-term moisturization with natural cocoa and shea butters, jojoba, apricot kernel and avocado oils. Peptides, along with vitamin C and paracress, stimulate collagen production to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, while SPF 15 helps prevent future sun damage. Available in 11 shades.

Now NARS follows up close in the heels of Bobbi Brown with the new NARS Pure Sheer Lip Treatment ($25)

NARS Pure Sheer Lip Treatment hydrates, nourishes, repairs and pampers…effortlessly. Buffered with SPF 15 and moisturizing mango butter, it soothes and softens, protecting lips throughout the day. Six subtle yet sublime tinted shades—think mauve, cantaloupe, strawberry, pearl and pinks—caress your lips. Lush and lingering, they’re equally comfortable on their own or underneath your signature NARS lip color. Sexy and safe lips—who said you can’t have it both ways? Available in six shades.

So which would you buy?

NARS or Bobbi Brown? Remember you can only pick one of the two brands, dem be the rules.

I’m with Bobbi! Its cheaper and the variety of colors look way better plus I’m Bobbi’s fan girl anyway so I’m all for it.

Now if we could get MAC to release some new Slimshines I’d be in nirvana.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. OOOh I’m a total Bobbi/NARS fangirl…I’d go with Bobbi though.

I am thinking bobbi brown. Love her lip goodies.

I think Neimans and Saks are both having some sort of sales also.

Leaning towards the Nars right now. Likes the sound of Mango Butter. Like the packaging better too!

  • Kate

Bobbie had me at chapped lips. Seriously anything that provides color to my lips and protects against winter is a winner!

  • Stephanie

I’d go with Bobbi Brown. I am having a mini obsession with the brand right now.

Maybe its just the packaging but the NARS lippies look so divine like I hate lip products but the pearl colour looks so good D:<

typical nars packaging though its always rubber no matter what the product I personally like it cuz if it falls on the ground its ok 😀

aha muse I took out my blusher (hungry heart) to see the damage and its just glitter city aha

🙁 I dropped it once and it bounced saving the product though so I will sacrafice cleanliness for saftey :]

aw linda 🙁 try a cotton pad dipped in alcohol 😀 I use it to wipe my nars palettes down!

  • Kirstie

    Is both an option?!?! 😉

I think that I would pick Nars because it is sold at Sephora, whereas Bobbi is not.

OoooOooh that’s tough! I don’t have any experience with Bobbi’s stuff. I was going to say Nars; since it’s tried and true for me, but I think I’d try Bobbi’s.

Bobbi’s lippies look more moisturizing in the picture, while the Nars look like they can be a bit on the matter side. Both have lovely colors, but Bobbi has more of a range. I’d love to try Nectarine or Rosy Nude. Hm, I think I have to stick this on my wishlist!
