Korres Pure Nude Collection Review and Swatches
Hey chicklets!
Dunno about you but I’m really into bright, vibrant shades for Spring/Summer but lately I’ve really tamed down my wild makeup ways so this year I’m kinda embracing natural and nude for the warmer weather. Because honestly, who wants to wear a ton of eye makeup, face makeup, gloss, etc…on a hot day. Right?
Korres agrees which is why they created the online exclusive Korres Pure Nude Collection. Think amazingly flattering, minimalistic nude shades for lips and eyes. Think you likey?

What is it?
Korres Pure Nude Collection is a set of nude, natural shades to create the perfect minimal face look for Spring. The set includes the following items:
- Korres Shimmering Eyeshadow in Golden 24S
- Korres Pro Vitamin B5 Mascara in Brown
- Korres Cherry Oil Lipgloss in Nude 33
All these goodies for $25.50. Sweet eh?
The set includes just enough product to create a really simple, elegant look but you can improvise (like I did) and haul out a few other extra goodies to create your look! Here are a few steps (and tips and tricks) I took to do up my face:
- Step 1:
For really simple, fresh, light, and natural makeup I like to start on a freshly cleansed face and use Korres Quercetin and Oak Primer to prep with. Since it’s so hydrating it doubles up as not only a primer to keep my foundation fresh but also as a light Summer moisturizer.
- Step 2:
Summer makeup is all about keeping it light, simple, flawless, and beautiful. The less product used the lighter and fresher your face will feel on a humid Summer day outside! Keep it simple by using gloss, blush, eyeliner, mascara, and a simple shade of shadow.
You can skip foundation if you pay particular attention to concealing your eyes correctly and brightening this area up. Fresh eyes are key to using little to no foundation. If you can’t get away without using foundation try out a tinted moisturizer to even out skin tone and give tired skin a little boast!
Golds are a favorite of mine for Summer. Korres Shimmering Eyeshadow in 24S Gold is the ideal Summer shade (included with the kit). Sweep the shade on from lid to crease and blend. The lighter shade of gold will wake tired eyes up.
- Step 3:
I love to skip lining my top lash line simply because it makes me look like I have heavier eye makeup on, remember we want to keep it simple and natural. Rather than my top lash line I line heavily on my bottom waterline. This opens eyes up and makes them pop! After you’re done with your liner and shadow be sure to curl lashes up and layer on a light mascara. Korres Pro Vitamin B5 Mascara pretty much takes care of the light part of the mascara wear here. The formula is pretty basic and curls lashes up nicely without weighing them down or making your look appear to made up.
Step 4:
If you’re going with gold, bronzes, or warmer shades of eye shadow I recommend going with a warmer shade of blush. Warmer shades of peach or coral on cheeks really gives a Summer-y freshness to cheeks and face. Load your brush up with Korres Zea Mays Blush in 18 Peach (not included with the kit but my new latest obsession, love this color!), smile pretty, now dab the blush with the side of your brush onto the apples of your cheeks. Go gently and use a tapping motion. This will create a soft focused glow on cheeks without overdoing it.
Step 5:
Slick on your favorite gloss and you’re ready to look fabulously sunny for Summer!
I think anyone who enjoys a more fresher, nuder look will adore the kit. I’m absolutely in lust with Korres Cherry Oil Lipgloss in Nude 33 which is my new favorite shade of gloss as it has a beige-y gold gorgeous about it that makes lips pop yet still remains subtle and pretty.
It took me about 5 minutes to create my look below and only four color products to do so not counting concealer, tinted moisturizer, and primer.
