Philosophy Hope Springs Eternal Skin Treatment Mask Review

What my world needs now is NOT another facial mask. I have way too many Asian sheet masks to get through which I use nightly so I kinda sorta do not need a mask treatment as well.

But I was tempted by the Philosophy Friends and Family Event so I ordered me some Philosophy Hope Springs Eternal Skin Treatment Mask.

I likey….

Philosophy Hope Springs Eternal Facial Mask is a rejuvenating facial mask to purify and refresh dull, tired skin. It’s formulated with the rejuvenating properties of the deep sea and contains over 250 minerals and spirulina, an antioxidant derived from seaweed, that conditions and topically feed your skin healthy nutrients for an astonishingly healthy glow.

Although this looks like green slime it smells absolutely heavenly. It was the first thing I noticed about the product, the delightfully fresh scent. It’s an herbal smell with a fair bit of green in the mix and a certain freshness that’s I find very appealing and gorgeous. The actual mask is a soft thick gel that has a slightly sticky feel. It happens to be forest green a tad scary looking (hello I’ve been slimed!) with little bits and pieces in it but if you can get over the look of it you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how well it works.

To use it simply massage onto a freshly cleansed, dry face. I massage around my face for a little bit getting it to sink in. It seems to turn white when I rub a little too long but I give myself a nice massage with it prior to sitting around for 5 to 10 minutes with it on my face. After a few minutes simply rinse off with lukewarm water!

As it sits on your face you can feel it absorb into your skin a tiny bit. It’s kinda like getting an expensive facial to be honest as the product is similar to treatments I’ve gotten at spas kinda a seaweed mask if you will.

After a quick rinse off my face felt smoother and had a certain dewy glow. It revived my tired skin to say the least particularly after a long day. After using it in the PM prior to bed I wake up with visibly smoother, healthier skin.

Sadly, seems the effects of the mask are temporary as I haven’t really experienced any long term benefits from using this so even though my skin looks and feels better after use, it doesn’t last.

  • Anyone who wants to treat them self to in at home facial!
  • Anyone with tired, dull skin!
  • Anyone who likes to end the night with a relaxing mask treatment.

  • Anyone wanting long term results from a mask!

The mask was a complete love for me and I’ve been using it daily (you can use it daily if you like!) lately. I like the overall effect and how it revives my dull skin. I just wish the it had some visibly lasting effects. I’m unsure if I’d purchase again unless there was a sale but I must say the overall experience is a pleasant one and it’s one of the nicer facial masks I’ve come across.

Nice stuff and kinda worth checking out in my opinion, particularly if you love facial mask treatments.

Anyone try this?

I haven’t tried this yet, but been quite curious.

Have you tried “The Great Mystery”? I was a big fan of that one and would love to find it again.

GOT it Jo 😀 first time trying! I got it during the FF 20% always wanted to try but wasn’t sure what I would think! It’s on Philosophy’s site hun! I think you might like this but don’t expect long time results…I’m just not seeing that but it does make my face really FRESH for my morning makeup regime when used in the PM!

Hey thanks for the review. Do you have any masks that you’ve seen long term effects from? I always thought masks were more temporary as a general rule. Not many bloggers review masks so I appreciate you!

hey mel. I always get really long lasting results from sheet masks. or maybe it’s my imagination but after a sheet mask my face always looks incredible and the results last a good deal longer than a liquid/cream mask 🙂
