Bliss Triple Oxygen+C Energizing Cream Review

Bliss Triple Oxygen+C Energizing Cream………say that three times yo!

Jump!

A super powered gel cream that contains Vitamin C to recharge tired, dull skin and brighten it while moisturizing and smoothing!

I heart Bliss. They make the most innovative little skin care products. Bliss Triple Oxgen+C Energizing Cream was instantly my new best friend as soon as it caught my eye.

First off it was a gel cream but it was also a gel cream with Vitamin C to supercharge my tired, dull skin and make it fresh and bright again!

Oh my god!

Yeah well…not so much.

Here’s the deal.

It’s a gel moisturizer which in my opinion is fabulous. I’ve mentioned in a prior post that gel creams aren’t particularly common within the US so when I do run across one it’s a keeper in my opinion and Bliss Triple Oxygen + C gets the award for cool gel moisturizers. The formula is a thicker gel that has a strong citrus scent, very pleasant to my nose but sensitive types may not love it. Once applied it causes a very slight tingle, again sensitive types be aware and do a spot check prior. It absorbs easily and leaves behind exceedingly hydrated skin, more so than many gel moisturizers I have tried and own. This moisture travels throughout the day with you and keeps skin very fresh, even dry skin types will be shocked at how great it works at locking in moisture.

Now the cream is supposed to release oxygen into your skin to recharge it and vitamin c to brighten it….

But sadly I don’t see much change. I’ve been using in a few months now and I have yet to experience the joys of recharged, brighter skin. My skin happens to be quite dull and lackluster so I was somewhat hopeful this would truly be the cure all for that but sadly not the case.

Sensitive types might want to be careful with this one as it does tingle a bit on my skin so it might turn your face a bit red…I’m just assuming here as I am not sensitive but better to warn you prior to having you slather yourself in it and possibly having a bad reaction.

  • Anyone looking for a quick absorbing moisturizer that has a lasting hydration effect throughout the day!
  • Those seeking something to brighten skin up and erase dullness (it didn’t work for me but the reviews I’ve read are pretty positive about how fantastic the results are).

  • Sensitive types (read above).
  • Anyone unwilling to dish out $54 on 1.7 oz facial cream.

I liked this alot simply because the formula works fantastic at locking in moisture and making my face look quite moist and hydrated, almost dewy in some cases. It absorbs super fast which is a plus for me without leaving behind oiliness or a film. Now the moisturizer gets aces from me in the directions of hydration however the price of $54 for 1.7 oz does make me wince simply because I was expecting brighter, fresher skin and since it doesn’t deliver, the price therefore is a bit too steep for simply something that’s hydrating and doing little else. Honestly, at that price I can go even higher end for something that will do more and even indulge in the benefits of anti-aging (which this does not have). If it worked I wouldn’t have a problem with the price and if it was cheaper I’d probably buy it again simply because it’s a nice cream however since it doesn’t do everything I had hoped I probably won’t purchase again.

But…

Don’t listen to me as the reviews I’ve read are really raving ones on both Sephora, at Bliss, and across various forums. So it could be something worth trying out to see how it reacts with your skin.

Sadly, as much as I was wanting to love it, I simply couldn’t.

oh i have been wondering about this one & was waiting for your review! think i’ll pass :/
o/t but did you get the fragrance yet??? so curious, gazing @ my cart but waiting for something great to push me over the edge 😛 come on sephora, a code, a great bonus that isn’t gone in 30 seconds, something . . .

    • the Muse

omg d it’s in my cart too….debating on hitting submit…do we need it?! 😀 I picture it smell like a spa but scared I’ll be disappointed!

Better than H2O+ Face Oasis gel? That one is my absolute fave gel moisturizer.

    • the Muse

YES better tracy and I love me some H20. This is a lighter feel and H20 sometimes is a tad tacky after use, this isn’t 😀

I bought this a mont or so ago with the same high hopes… I’m with you. It’s a nice gel cream. My face is hydrated. Love the smell. I didn’t notice any tingling, and my skin is a bit sensitive… but yeah, 5 or so weeks in and I’m not feeling the $54 was well spent. I don’t notice any sortt of brightening or any of that. Oh well.

After your last Lush post I’m considering going back to their skincare. I don’t really know why I left in the first place, other than high shipping cost and not getting to feel the moisturizers and such because there is no Lush near me. Hmm…

    • the Muse

jonnie phew thought I was nuts. Have you read the crazy raving? people seem to have outstanding results but no luck here 🙁 glad to hear you were good with it…I thought it might prove a little much for those with sensitive skin! Same here with lush. I test and test for the blog and I forget how good Lush was to my skin. I used to NEVER go anywhere near anything else but for the sake of the blog I started changing things around and really I had the best results with Lush, no reason to bother with anything else. Aw order online! it’s fresher anyway!

  • jonnie

Yah, the raves are what made me decide to try it. Meh. I definitely don’t get it!

I’m pretty sure I eventually left Lush over pretty bottles and colors. Aquamarina and AOBS used to do my skin fantastically! I never could settle on a moisturizer though. At the time I coudnt afford anything really expensive so I used Celestial. It was nice but probably not right for my skin.

I’m going to try and use up some of the cleansers I still have and then reinvest in Lush. Hopefully my skin will get happier then!

    • the Muse

Me either Jonnie. I really thought it would give my skin a boost. AOBS def does wonders for my skin as well! I use it after oil cleanser. do so around christmas when u can get some free goodies 😀

      • jonnie

I should probably wait… I’m almost out of eye cream and toner right now though, so there are a couple things I actually could get now. Which will probably lead me into getting other stuff too. I’m considering trying Vanishing Cream… I have piles of rejected moisturizers at this point, but I can’t find anything that seems right for me!

        • the Muse

sephora FF is on the way soon too jonnie so you can indulge in eye creams and the likes than 😀
