Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Halloweenies Candy Corn Coated Candy Apple Perfume Oil Review

What scents do you commonly associate with Halloween? For me apples, candy corn, and black licorice come to mind first. How about Candy Corn Coated Candy Apple? Think of a bright red apple engulfed in a crunchy candy coating and rolled in crushed candy corn….yay or nay?

Proves yay as a scent.

Jump!

Earlier this month I promised I’d introduce you to more of the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Halloweenies Perfume Oils. Today I don’t have a BPAL scent, I actually have a Trading Post one!

Nestled in the cobwebs of the BPAL website you’ll come across a link that will lead you to the Black Phoenix Trading Post which houses an array of very limited edition accessories, perfume oils, lotions, potions, and soaps! These offerings are a separate addition to the regular fare at BPAL and include an extra shipping charge should you decide to order but in many cases it’s so worth it as some of the selection is quite special.

This year a single Halloweenie ended up in the midst of the Trading Post entitled simply Candy Corn Coated Candy Apple. Almost instantly I was on it as I love all good things Halloween and this scent was the true spirit of the Holiday.

Now some of you might not be interested in smelling like overly sweet candy apple and candy corn but me? I don’t mind in the least.

The scent promises a tart green crunchy apple engulfed in thick gobs of cherry red white sugar, butter, vanilla, and dashes of cinnamon with candy corn and candy sprinkles. Enough to give you a nice tooth ache!

First sniff is indeed a tart, crunchy green apple with a underlay of warm caramel. First application comes across as a stronger, sweet, almost candy-like apple scent sans candy corn, caramel, or anything else but that sweet, crunchy apple.

As it dries down the richer notes of the scent is released and a buttery caramel dominates the apple as well as faint hints of cinnamon and candy corn come across.

Towards its final throw it begins to morph into the perfect blend of apples, candy corn, and Halloween!

Delicious and oh so perfect to begin the celebration of the dead!

Loves it!

I’m not a licorice fan, but caramel apples and smoky campfires and ghost stories all conjure up Halloween for me. Sounds like a gorgeous scent!

It sounds delicious! My favorite so far though is Pumpkin Latte… Mmm, so good

storm pumpkin latte is rocking ;-D but I gotta admit I’m a traditionalist and love Sugar Skull best ;-D I buy it ever year, simply can’t get enough of it!

Ooh, I didn’t see this one when I made my Halloweenie order! I’ve been alternating Boo and Lambs-wool as my fall scents. I especially love smelling like Lambs-wool all day. when I first put it on I smell just like mulled red wine when you’re heating it up, and as it dries down I smell like sort of dark apples and cinnamon. Mmm…

    • the Muse

hey jonnie how are you long time no speak ;-D Loving Boo! ;-D Lambs Wool is such as gorg. I’m really happy with this year’s Halloweenies! So many favs!

Yah, work has been kicking my butt recently, so I just go home and play Dragon Quest IX and don’t think about anything rather than surf the net or anything.

I only let myself buy three Halloweenies, although I’ve been eyeballing a couple more so I might be bad (on top of a $130 holiday Lush order… eh… I work for it!) Pumpkin Latte sounded great, and now this one too!
