About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have never used BB eyeshadows. What is their formulation like? My fav ES at the moment is Lorac—goes on like buttah, all shades too. Thanks for any advice on BB ES’s.

I bought the Smoldering Eye Palette at Neiman-Marcus two weeks ago. I have yet to try any of the shades wet, but they apply very sheer when put on dry, and you really have to layer if you want more color. The port shade is esp. gorgeous, a deep wine color with golden flecks.

I want the Jewel Red Metallic lipstick & the 2 lip glosses. I know these are all permanent in her collection. I just did a major haul of Lancome & Anna Sui, plus a mini haul from Clarins & Revlon, so right now I’m a little strapped for cash !!!!!! I’ll probably get them before Christmas though, even better, Santa might bring them too me !

Wait, I thought the smoky/sultry/smoldering palettes were certain department exclusives? You mean they’re actually going to be released nationally in November? So that poor people like me, who only have a Macy’s, can get them? 🙂

I bought the Sultry palette before it hit the BB site! I was wandering my mall & wanted to get some MAC VV items but they were sold out so i happened to walk by the BB counter & was drawn in by how pretty these palettes were. I want Smoldering too but its a bit much in price for me right now 🙁 This was my first BB product & i am so hooked now!
