Cute Makeup Find: Flaunt Beauty French Riviera Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches, Photos
My best friend’s Jai has a little cousin, umm wait, scratch that. She’s not really little nor does she like to be referred to as little. She’s an adult at the tender age of 11.
Ha…!
No seriously, my friend’s cousin is 11 going on 30. We are just completely in awe that this child is growing up way too fast. Either that or he and I are so very old and we didn’t realize it. We recently took her out for a little shopping expedition and ended up at an Icing store. Me being me I was all about oooo’ing and ahhh’ing over the cute accessories and makeup bits and bobs although much of the makeup is geared towards tweens and earlier teens I still loving picking through it all.
My findings led me to Flaunt Beauty. Anyone see this stuff yet? It’s over priced makeup and fragrance available exclusively at The Icing. I’m such a sucker I absolutely fell in love with the cutesy palettes because they sported cute Pin Up Girls. Loves!

A cute palette featuring four shades of eyeshadow!
Well the packaging is what sucked me in so let’s discuss that first. They have any number of these palettes available in various shade selections with various products included that range from just eye shadows to blush, bronzer, lip products, and shadows combined. Of course, the vintage pin up girls might catch your eye as they did mine. Packaging is really pretty cute. It’s a flip top design featuring a secretary pin up girl flashing us her stockings, SO not politically correct for Tweens but adorable if you’re a fan of Dita Von Teese or just pin up art in general.
Count me surprised the eyeshadows aren’t THAT bad either. You get four shades which include Warm Sand (creamy beige), 24-Carat (bronze), Hot Cooper (chocolate brown), and Coastline (soft ocean blue). They have a silky formula with decent pigmentation and they apply and blend dreamy-like.
$15 bucks puts this in the realms of crazy high price in my opinion but you can nab one at full price and one for 50% off if that’s any consolation.
Sadly, the shadows blend nicely and apply well but they have really bad staying power. Even with my trusty Urban Decay Primer Potion in place they migrate around and fade and crease and just end up not sticking around long at all!
- Anyone who likes kawaii makeup purchases!
- Anyone looking for a cute little palette for a budding makeup user (tweens and teens should love this).
- Anyone wanting eyeshadow that wears long and strong!
Do you need it? No way. But it is damn cute which is why I wanted to share it with you. You might want to check out the collection your next trip to The Icing. It’s completely rubbish makeup but the packaging might appeal to your collector’s side.
Anyone see this line before?
What do you think of the packaging?
