MAC PeaCocky Collection

As we head deeper into Winter, we’ll all be needing an injection of color to get us through the cold, harsh weather ahead and the MAC PeaCocky Collection brings it to the table with bold, vibrant shades of eyeshadow and new Kissable Lipcolours.

Take a peek!

Arrogance or elegance? The showy display, the undeniably sexual spectacle, the iridescent irreverence…its awe-inspiring. We fetishize the exotic peacock as a symbol of extreme beauty, an act of elaborate nature, raging against everything simplistic. Peacocky fans out in a foray of intense colour for Lips and Eyes, exotic and sophisticated with a touch of 30s F. Scott Fitzgerald glamour and mesmerizing metallic sheen. New Kissable Lipcolour combines full flash with creamy comfort. Its molten, with elastomer technology that imparts a velvety, aerated feel without sacrificing shine. Light as a feather. Mega Metal Shadow gleams like chrome, with light-reflecting properties – yet creamy, crease-resistant, vitamin-fortified flexibility. Dramatic doesnt even begin to describe the girl who knows shes Peacocky.

I’m curious about the Mega Metal formula myself and the lip colors look stunning. I can definitely get on board with some of these shades even though I’ve been embracing alot of nude, naturals lately.

What do you think?

I hope to have swatches of some of the collection soonish!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I am in love with this collection (except maybe for the blue lip color, what is up with that?). I think the colors are all very wearable and so pretty! I have peacock feathers in a large antique pitcher in my living room. When you look at them up close the fields of color are kind of iridescent and quite stunning I’m hoping that these eyeshadows have a similar effect. Super excited!!!

    • the Muse

lmao agreed courtney ;-D but some people adore blue lippies ;-D I imagine they will, it looks amazing!

      • Laurie Brown

Hey, I have a green lippie that I use to tone down some orangey reds at times. Works great for that! I imagine blue would be great for those years when there is no purple/mauve lippies to be had, too. Just put it on over a red or pink.

        • LorraineER

I’m happy to see a blue lippie. I realize you may think it’s unusual but but as the above poster mentioned, colors like this are good for blending and layering (blue makes your teeth appear whiter!) and not all of us like the same things- some people like to rock funky colored lips. Non-traditional lip colors are everywhere lately so now is the time to try rocking an orange lip or a blue gloss over your red lipstick. Then there’s those of us who have been doing that for years and will continue to do so when the trend fades away,

    • Ruthless

I knew there was a reason I passed on everything from Villans and a Tartan tale. This is it!

    • lissa

I would totally love that blue lip color! I’d even put a nude underneath to max the blue.

they should have done a blue lipliner too, maybe a blue eyeliner?

      • the Muse

mmm that would be fab lissa ;-D I actually thought the blue was a liner at first glance :D!

        • lissa

it could be the once in a lifetime chance to wear UD binge as a lipliner to match your lips! totally electric on lighter skintones

  • tina

ooo I’m curious about the blue lippie! I wonder if it’ll be a sheer blue that you’re supposed to layer or if it’s a true blue

  • Cj

The 6th and 11th lipcolour going down in the pictures are beautiful, tho the 11ty may be a bit too coral-ly for me lol. Also the blue actually looks kinda cool ;D I’m probably going insane lol

    • the Muse

lol really club-like on the blue CJ ;-D I like the coral actually but it may be TOO much for me!

  • Libby

The kissable lip colours look really really good, oh man I’ve got to start saving up right now 🙁

  • Josie

Ooohhh can’t wait to swatch this collection! I wonder if we can B2M for these eyeshadows or if they are bigger?

  • Ana

WANT the lip color! It looks like they have some great nudes as well as that super pretty red!

  • auroragyps

What is it with MAC doing these promo pics where you can hardly see the shadows? I don’t want to see the container, I want to see the eye shadow.

  • Storm

I’m going to have to see swatches of that blue! I’m a sucker for novelty…so even if I barely ever wear it…I may have to own it

  • Mary the Muse Militant

Gorgeous colours in both lipcolour and eyeshadows.
Glad to hear the lipcolours are creamy.
Will definitely have a good look when they are released.
    Thanks for the photos !

  • Pooja

I wish all the eyeshadows were available in Palette form rather than individual .

  • LorraineER

I didn’t realize that the lippies were liquid. I thought the kissable lipcolors were a new formula of their regular tube lipstick. I’m kinda disappointed…liquid lippies and I don’t usually get along. I find they feather and don’t last very long. I love the color selections but I’m concerned about how they perform/wear…

  • Nia

Oh please tell me you have swatches from the lipstuff, pretty please?
The lipstuff sounds like liquid lipstick. Coverage from a lippie and easy to apply like a gloss? Hell yes.

  • Laura

OMG! I have never seen a MAC collection I was in love with 100% (eyeshadows)

There are 15?? It might break my bank – but I want the WHOLE set!

      • Laura

So I went and bought – and so proud of myself for restraint!

        I got:
        Sex-pectations
        Speckticle Yourself
        Dalliance

I thought I’d want Ego – but was not impressed.
Otherwise I felt I had some dupes close to the other colors.

Pappara-She was sold out – so I didn’t get to swatch, but I saw it in the pan, and then thought MAYBE I should have gotten it. I’m waivering.
