Shu Uemura Miracle Cherry Blush Tint Review, Swatches, Photos

I love a natural blushing look! For years now I’ve been obsessed with cheek stains of any kind because they give that natural, healthy, just stepped in from the cold or just been kissed for the first time look! Not only do you get a glowy flushed look but the added benefit of long wearing, waterproof makeup that lasts, and lasts and lasts…cheek stains are legendary for sticking around until you decide to remove them!

My obsession started with the Morgen Schick Schick Stick and followed up with Benetint….Nowadays cheek stains are far more common with plenty of variety to partake of.

My new fav of the moment?

Shu Uemura Miracle Cherry Blush Tint!

Jump!

A lightweight cheek gel for creating a flush of cherry on cheeks!

Of course I purchased it for the packaging! Aya Takano added a helping hand to Shu’s Holiday 2011 Collection this year and made up some whimiscal delightful characters for the packaging that make the collection extra adorable. At first I was purchasing the tint for the packaging along and of course later on I admitted I’m just a fond lover of stains and tints of any kind so this was a great purchase to satisfy both my obsessions.

Shu dubs the tint as the blush that appears on Aya’s characters cheeks, elbows, and knees. As you can see from the character on the tube she does indeed sport a flush of cherry on these area.

The blush is a lightweight slightly silicone feeling gel which is a cherry red shade. It comes across a cherry reddish/pink rather than the strong rose red you get from Benetint. The shade will impart a cheery cherry shade which gives that just stepped out of the cold glow.

I love it for dashing out of the house sans makeup. For my look below I used some of the NatureLuxe Foundation from Covergirl, a bit of this on my cheeks, and a little gloss and I was good to go. You’ll be staring so hard at my cheery cheeks you’ll completely forget that my eyes are tired and unconcealed, such a bonus right? Ha!

Formula wears long and stays strong throughout the day so no touch up drama is required. It works as any stain would and sticks around through the rain, snow, sleet, possible alien abductions, etc….

Nothing bad here aside from the fact that it’s limited edition! Damn!

  • Anyone looking for a soft, natural flush of color!
  • Anyone who likes a more natural minimal makeup look.
  • Those rushing out in the morning that want to look pretty without a ton of time wasted on makeup application (swipe it on and go).

  • Anyone who becomes emotionally attached to their makeup (it’s available for a limited time so you might wanna get a back up or two!).

I absolutely loved this and thought it was a great stain. I have a good deal in my collection already that are easily a dupe for the shade but I’m glad I got it regardless as the formula is a touch different plus the kawaii packaging!

If you love stains I’d suggest indulging.

I’m really into cream and gel blushes at the moment. Really digging the cute and sanitary packaging of this one! This looks along the lines of Pixi Sheer Cheek Gels which I’m loving. Haven’t ventured into stains or water blushes yet, how do they compare to gels Muse?

mm I find water and stains are a tad bit harder to blend out where as gels just blend easily but regardless I enjoy both formulas slick also you’ll find water and stain formulas will last considerably longer than gel. gel can stick around a good solid day but those in a liquid form REALLY stick around as in weeks if you don’t remove LOL!
