Eyeko Liptastick Glossy Lip Pencil Review, Swatches, Photos

I dig chubby little pencils. Their cute, their easy to tote around, and most always they are great lightweight formulas. Eyeko has a new Liptastick Glossy Lip Pencil in several shades available, told ya about ’em a few weeks ago, remember?

Wanna take a peek!?

A chubby lip pencil to line and fill lips in one easy step!

This is a fab little chubby pencil that contains a highly pigmented lipstick. Pigmentation is loud and true on these so if you like bolder lip products, this will definitely gather your attention. You have to admit most lipstick/gloss pencils aren’t terribly loud and they go for more of a lighter, natural finish however Liptastick delivers in terms of color pay off.

I tried one in the shade Hot Lips which is a wearable shade of fuchsia pink, heavy on the pink! The formula has a fruity, fresh flavor and dare I say reminds me of a scented eraser kinda taste, I know, weird, how do I know how erasers taste, I actually don’t but this flavor reminds me of one ha!

Texture of the pencil is very creamy with a cream finish by the way no shimmer or sparkle here. I’m not keen on cream finishes myself however Hot Lips manages to work very well particularly when topped with some clear gloss. Formula is hydrating and feels moisturizing but the cream finish def makes me want to whip out clear gloss for topping with for extra POP!

The lip pencil is handy and easy for toting around and storing if you’re one for using both a lip pencil and a lipstick as hey, this lines and fills, yay for carrying less product around eh?

However…

It doesn’t come with a sharpener which I would like and also has a plastic casing so could prove messy to sharpener.

  • Anyone who likes lip pencils or gloss pencils because they are easy to tote around, travel with, and have on hand for quickie swipes and goes!
  • Anyone who likes popping, pigmented shades of lipstick with cream finishes!

  • Anyone who finds a sharp point on a lip pencil essential (this could prove a pain to sharpen and get a fine point on once it wears down).

Eyeko Liptastick Glossy Lip Pencils are a budget price at $10 and offer a loud, sizzling color payoff with a nice formula to work with! Quite cute and well worth a haul particularly at this price.

if you wanna be messy you can prob stick the tip in the sharpener Olivia.

  • Lucy

I like the shade but yes, sharpening might be a pain. I like to have a good edge so I could give a sharp lip line. I guess it’s good to throw in your purse for emergencies.

  • Nathalie

Oooh that’s a really pretty shade. Would love it in a nail polish lol

  • LorraineER

I’m kinda confused….how would you be able to sharpen it if the outside is plastic? What would you do when the tip is completely worn flat..?

    • the Muse

hey lorraine you can TRY to stick the tip into a sharpener but that would be SUPER messy, that’s about the extent of the sharpening abilities on this!

  • Jenny

Wow absolutely gorgeous color! Do they last on the lips? Everyday I love more & more your blog. And I ABSOLUTELY agree with you about the Lush Buche de Noel cleanser: Im adoring mine but its not sold anymore! Aggg. Do you think Angels on Bare Skin is like Buche de Noel? Can you please recommend me a similar Buche de Noel cleanser from Lush!

Happy new year amazing Muse! 😉

    • the Muse

quite long wearing jenny 🙂 aw thanks hun cheers you’re a doll! I love Buche too what a cleanser ;-D Angels on Bare Skin is a similar texture and works in a similar fashion but it is not as moisturizing or as nice smelling as Buche, they are pretty diff in my opinion hun! Sorry 🙁

      Happy New Year dear!!!!!!

      • Jenny

Thanks hun! Ill definitely try the Eyelo lip pencil 🙂
Sooo sad about the Buche de Noel cleanser, Im really loving it. I had the feeling when I was buying it (online) that I should include 2 of this, but finally I only bought one. Damn! Have you tried the Aqua Marina one? Maybe it can be similar?

        • the Muse

          my pleasure jenny 🙂

I know me too sigh! but we can look forward to next year. Aqua Marina is vastly different. I avoid it, can’t stand the stench! Yak. Buche de Noel isn’t like any other Lush products sadly so don’t kill yourself trying to find its dupe in the general catalog ;(

Hey. I think I read somewhere that these have a twist-up end to them, in lieu of a sharpener. Is that true?

    Thanks!
