NP Set Smoke Signals NP Set New Neutrals Shadow Palette Review, Swatches, Photos

I’m a little late with getting this review done but better later than never eh? For the Holidays NP Set had released two 12 color eyeshadow palettes. These were available exclusively at Target and quite a little bargain.

At first glance you might have passed them up as they look a tad uneventful formula wise or maybe you didn’t see them as they weren’t by the regular NP Set Collection but on an end cap hanging on a hook.

Either way, they have turned into one of my best budget purchase as of late.

Let’s take a peek!

A tiny palette featuring 12 shades of eyeshadow to create various smoky looks!

These came in two shade selections and were available fro $10 each. I seen them most recently for $5 at my local Target as they were clearance however if you can’t locate them Target still has them at full price online.

Each palette is a little bigger than a business card and features a magnetic clap closure, small mirror, and sturdy cardboard design. Inside you’ll find 12 eyeshadows featuring a hell of a pigmented formula with vibrant shades of either Neutrals or Smoky Purples depending on the palette you indulge in.

I was astounded at how gorgeous the formula was on these shadows. They have a smooth texture that blends easily and flawlessly leaving behind super color pay off. The formula is quite high quality for this price and astoundingly good.

The smallness of the palette doesn’t forsake anything in terms of formula of the shadows or general design as it travels well and takes very little storage space and heck, might I add I think it’s damn cute at this size.

NP Set New Neutrals is a range of various shades of browns with paler shades of creamy beiges for highlighting. This was my favorite palette of the two as all the shades compliment my brown eyes beautifully well. If you love nude, natural looks for work or for creating sexy smoked our looks, this is the palette for you!

NP Set Smoke Signals is a range of purples with a few shades of brown thrown in as well as an occasionally gray. This creates smoky looks as well but more for an evening look as it definitely has a few colors that lean towards a more dramatic finish.

Absolutely nothing bad here!

  • Anyone who enjoys high quality makeup at a budget price.
  • Those who like a more polished nude look for work (New Neutrals has you covered).
  • Those seeking a pigmented shadow palette that travels easily (the small size will make a great choice for vacation or business trips).

  • Seriously?

Part of the appeal of these palette is the ridiculous $10 price tag! What a bargain! The quality of the shadows is brilliant and the overall cuteness of the tiny palette just appeals to my makeup junkie side. I absolutely adored these and feel like they are an absolutely must have for any makeup addict out there.

Super!

Very Muse Approved for purchase!

If you have problems locating them at your local store I HIGHLY suggest getting them from www.Target.com both are available and in stock!

If you tried them, I’d love to hear what you thought!

Note: I didn’t take full swatches of each palette but will try to update with them when I have a second but I think the FOTD photos on my eyes is reason enough to love ’em!

About the Muse

these are the exact same colors as the elf $5 beauty encyclopedias, you can also find the same palettes (same manufacturer) at forever 21 stores. but i do agree, there is great quality/pigmentation!

hey t I def felt these were way better than the elf ones. the texture and formula are WAY better as the elf ones were a bit too frosty and shimmery with alot less pay off ;D

Wow- those look impressive, esp. for such a low price! I’ve banned myself from buying any more shadow palettes for awhile but I’m tempted to pick one up anyway…just not sure which one!!

    $10 each?! ahhhh!!! =D
BTW that gold looks gorgeous on you!!
It’s funny– normally people say blue eyes are the most enviable eye color, right? I actually love brown the best, because you can wear the most variety of colors, haha! I have green eyes, and I feel weird wearing anything but like, brown or purple lol. Definitely would never wear blue since it “clashes with my green” (wtf, right? lol) but hey you can do blue, green, gold, purple, silver, red!… Anything!
Kind of blabbing but I wanted to share. Brown eyes tend to get no love!
