Josie Maran Argan Firming Day and Night Eye Cream Review
I was quite excited to check out the new Josie Maran Argan Firming Day and Night Eye Cream which launched exclusively on QVC recently. I haven’t yet seen it anywhere else aside from QVC. I kinda dig how QVC gets all these new products and exclusives first lately.
There are any number of things that I find appealing about this eye cream one of which was the twist top design that houses not one but two eye creams, one for evening and one for day.
I’ve used it nearing a month now and here are my thoughts!
A dual ended eye cream for use in the day and in the evening.
The key benefit here would be the fact you’re not getting one eye cream but two. The bottle is designed with two twist off pots on either end that each house one eye cream. The beige colored jar contains the day cream and the purple one houses the night cream.
Each eye cream addresses specific problems and contains ingredients to benefit these areas. The day cream contains Vitamin C for brightening up the eye area and giving it a freshly rested look where as the night cream has a more hydrating formula effective for treating drier, older eyes plus acts to reduce the look of wrinkles.
Both formulas are gorgeous creations as they absorb easily and leave the eye area nice and hydrated. The plus size is how quickly this absorbs as many eye creams have a nasty habit of laying on top of the skin. The formula isn’t too rich as I do not notice a hooded, puffy appearance when using this nor have I experienced milia when using the eye cream which I’m prone too when trying out eye creams that are a bit too rich.
I was hopeful that this would treat my biggest woe, puffiness, but sadly it did nothing in the realms of easing my baggage however it does hydrate well and the day cream does seem to brighten up tired eyes. I have finer lines under my eyes but I blame this on dryness and the night cream seemed to ease this considerably therefore erasing the signs of fine eyes as well as fatigue and dryness.
This may prove a little too lightweight for some as if you’re experiencing severe dryness this might not do the trick as it’s considerably lighter compared to some of my other eye creams.
I was hopeful it would ease puffiness but it sadly did not.
The $68 makes me wince however you can chalk it up as a one time purchase for both your day and night eye cream!
- Anyone who needs a fast absorbing eye cream for use prior to makeup and concealer.
- Anyone who has issues with richer eye creams that make their eyes puffy, hooded, or create other issues.
- Anyone who likes the idea of having their night and day cream in convenient package!
- Those who need intense moisture for drier eyes.
- Those with heavier lines and aging signs under their eyes (it promises to firm but I can’t say if it does this as I don’t need firming as of yet however for those who have such an issue or are showing the advanced signs of aging you may need to seek something stronger).
I liked this alot but I felt like I might need a tad bit more moisture at times (chalk that up to the crazy winter we’ve been having around here) however my eyes did look considerably less tired after nearing a month of use. The price is a bit of a deal breaker as the pots are smaller and I’d say I could get a month or two more out of this before needing to repurchase, ouch! But I’ll consider a repurchase in the future as I love how quick absorbing this is and how it gave my eyes a bit of a lift.
Nice stuff just wish the price was a bit better and hopeful for a bit more moisture on the night cream side.
Tried it?
