Marc Jacobs Splash Collection 2011 Marc Jacobs Splash Cocktail Collection

Last year I fell in love with the Marc Jacobs Biscotti Splash. Anyone haul it? It was like a warm, hard hug from your boyfriend or husband! Such a gorgeous splash!

This year, I was quite excited to see the new Marc Jacobs Splash Cocktail Collection.

Jump!

They remind me of exotic bottles of liquor and come in Cranberry, Ginger, and Curaçao. But don’t let the names fool you as Biscotti didn’t smell anything like the tasty, crunchy biscuit so I’m doubtful these will smell anything like their namesakes either. Normally the blends contain so many notes that the scent becomes morphed into a delightful cocktail of its main note name!

Not sure when they will launch here but last year it was around April so I imagine we’ll see them on counter shortly. They prove a bit expensive at $68 but they are HUGE and tend to have a very good linger and throw.

I’ll be on the look out for these and hope to bring you a review soon! Let’s see which one is a hit for me this year.

Love Marc Jacobs Splashes?

Ooh the bottles look identical to D&G’s number fragrances, I might pick these up, they sound like they’d smell really nice 😛

Cranberry and Ginger (I have no idea what Curacao is) strike me as odd scents for spring. I’m totally on board with some new Marc Jacobs splashes, but this has me thinking Thanksgiving and I’m confused.

curacao is nowhere near coconutty! they make blue martinis out of it. try one they’re delish

I just re-read that they make you think of liquor. What a lush! 🙂

lol Kristina ;-D don’t go by their names, in my experience they smell nothing like their names. Biscotti last year was not foody at all but a warm, masculine blend, was so gorgeous! but nothing like the bakery scent I thought I was going to smell! Curacao is actually an island so maybe that’s a watery-ocean-y blend!

omggggggggggg after biscotti I became OBSESSED with Marc Jacobs splashes. I haven’t smelled these but I already feel like I NEED them. I wish they came in a smaller, less expensive option ’cause there’s no way I can finish all of these without literally bathing in them.
