Jelly Pong Pong Hawaiian Sun Bronzer Review, Swatches, Photos

I say Brazil and you think what…?

Brazilian Wax?
Rio de Janeiro?
Hawt Footballer Players?

I dunno why but the only thing that pops into my head when I think Brazil is an interview Freddy Mercury did in 1985 while he was in Rio. He seemed so incredibly put out in that interview…! But when he says, “I am the surprise!” it makes me laugh. Sigh…so yeah, that’s what I think of when I hear Brazil, my mind works in strange and unusual ways!

Speaking of Brazil, I’m depending on the Jelly Pong Pong Brazilian Sun Bronzer to give me a sunkissed glow this Summer because it’s bronzer for dummies yo! So easy to apply!

Check it!

A sweetly packaged bronzer with a satiny-matte finish that you can use on face or body plus it contains Titanium Dioxide to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

I actually liked the Jelly Pong Pong’s original version of this product which was entitled Hawaiian Sun. That shade was a more subdued, muddy brown shade where as the Brazilian version takes things up a notch and sports a warmer bronze shade that seems more wearable to me.

I think the best part about the product is the fact that it’s very sheer. It isn’t crazy pigmented but still manages to leave behind a sunny, sun-kissed glow. I’m not a big bronzer person so I appreciate the lighter formula which doesn’t make me look all Snooki-like. The matte finish is satiny and has a certain glow and shimmer about it but nothing too dramatic or crazy.

Of course, the packaging is darling to say the least as it comes in a larger cardboard box and features a puff that has a sweet flower as the handle. When I originally purchased Hawaiian Sun I thought this was a hassle to use and not completely conventional and best suited to body work however after using both the Hawaiian Sun version and this new version for a while I feel like application on my face using such a big puff is actually foolproof. I simply swirl the puff in the bronzer and I blot it on my face. The larger puff seems to do well at touching the areas on my face that would naturally be kissed by the sun and make application pretty much easy…it’s bronzing for dummies! Plus it’s large enough to use on your neck, chest, and shoulders if you want!

No faults here…!

  • Those who love and use bronzing powders.
  • Those who aren’t keen on bronzers but want something sheer that will give them a tiny touch of sunny glow.
  • Those who like bronzers that aren’t overly pigmented but can build up easily.

  • Those who aren’t keen on bronzers of any kind.

Granted, I’m not a big fan of bronzing, I like to keep my skin as fair as I can but I find Jelly Pong Pong’s version of a bronzer is easy to use and isn’t overly pigmented so it gives just the right amount of glow without looking too orange or too muddy brown. The addition of Titanium Dioxide is interesting although I can’t confirm how much is actually in the product but it’s nice to have some sun protection available when using your bronzer of your choice. The formula is smooth, blends out easily, and works a treat at giving skin a sunkissed glow without alot of drama!
