My Beauty Diary Peach Soda Eye & Lip Makeup Remover Review

As cool and refreshing as a peach soda sounds might I say that having it in an eye & lip makeup remover formula makes it double wicked and tempting?

My Beauty Diary recently released a range of skincare collection entitled My Tea Time one item included with the collection is their new Peach Soda Eye & Lip Makeup Remover. Damn these Asian companies, they really know how to tempt a girl……doesn’t the name just beg you to buy it?

I had to have it!

Jump!

A dual phase eye and lip makeup remover from Taiwanese brand, My Beauty Diary.

I adored the sweet little bottle which features a cute little refreshing glass of peach soda. The bottle is very girlish and kawaii straight down to the actual remover which is a pretty shimmering shade of light peach.

The formula is a dual phase liquid much like Lancome Bi-Facil with one part oil and one part moisturizing liquid. Shake it up, apply to a cotton pad, press to your eye, and you’re done! Your eye makeup will instantly lift away and remove easily. I admit I do whisk around a little when removing my eye makeup but I don’t suggest it, wrinkle, wrinkle!

The only difference between Lancome Bi-Facil and this would be the fact that this actually removes makeup easier due to a more oily formula. It does leave me with a little trippy, cloudy vision after use but nothing as bad as say if you use an oil cleanser.

The bottle is 4.2 oz in size and cost me $16.99.

Ouch on the price tag there as the retail cost of this in Taiwan is 230 NT$ (equivalent to $8.50 USD). The price is considerably jacked up online plus factor in airmail and the product starts to lose its appeal.

However, I purchased mine at Imomoko for this price and managed to get free shipping due to an order over $50 so that helps plus add to the fact Bi-Facil is the same size and costs $26.99 and you may feel it’s a deal.

My Beauty Diary is a Taiwanese brand so shopping online is the only way you’ll be able to get this or if you live in a heavily populated Asian community you might find it at a local beauty shop if you’re lucky!

Sadly, much to my utter disappointment, the product did not smell like peach soda…damn…it’s completely fragrance free!

  • Anyone who likes Lancome Bi-Facil.
  • Anyone who likes dual phase eye makeup removers.
  • Those wanting to remove stubborn, waterproof eye makeup easily.

  • Those who aren’t keen shopping online, possibly dealing with airmail costs, and jacked up prices.

Overall, I liked this alot and will definitely purchase again even at the higher cost because hey it’s still way cheaper than indulging in Bi-Facil and it’s a hell alot cuter plus I thought the formula had a little something extra on Lancome’s version!

You probably recognize the My Beauty Diary name from past reviews I’ve done on their wonderful sheet mask line. I do hope they continue on this path with product introductions, heck I’d love to see them branch out to makeup too! The sheet masks are fabulous but I don’t mind these cute little extras in the least.

Quite a likey!

Muse Approved for purchase!

I am not affiliated with Imomoko but I do suggest it as a good retail location for this product.

Indeed I also wanted to let you know how much I adore your site. You have made me want to try so many asian brands, great but maybe not so great on my wallet 😉

Lol I’m usually wary of any Chinese or Taiwanese products. My mama (we’re Chinese btw) always tells me to buy only from Japan or Korea but never Chinese. I may have to check it out if I can manage to get a plane ticket back to the homeland.

    • the Muse

hey kat ;-D understandable hun! you can easily get it here as well rather than head to Taiwan ;-D haha!

actually Taiwan has high standards for cosmetics. the industry regulations are strict, the taiwanese people obey them, and the general ethos of the whole country is pretty upstanding and moral (no major chaos/revolution/large income divide) with little incentive to do otherwise. In fact, many taiwanese cosmetic factories produce goods for Japan, Europe, and the US. (i.e. check Mark. On The Dot –made in Taiwan, or some Kevyn Aucoin)

now the mainland chinese brands–that’s where i become wary. the rules are not always enforced, and general corruption along with chinese mistrust of each other –buyer beware when it comes to local brands.

But the taiwanese brands – much different, much higher quality standards.

Can you do a overall review of all the my beauty diary masks you’ve tried in one post? & that sucks that it’s unscented..then again it might irritate some people.

    Looks so cute!
Is this good at removing waterproof mascaras like Majo Majo’s lash expander?
I still haven’t found a makeup remover strong enough to get it off easily. DX
