Too Faced the Bronzed & the Beautiful Review, Swatches, Photos

Seriously, Victoria Gotti, Napoleon Perdis, George Hamilton, and those bloody oompa loompa’s can use all the how to in the bronzing department that they can get!

Too Faced the Bronzed & the Beautiful Bronzing How to Bronzing Palette was created exclusively for peeps like this. It’s a selection of some of Too Faced’s greatest bronzers and an easy to follow how to guide so you aren’t left looking like an Oompa Loompa or worst as orange as George Hamilton!

Check it!

A how to bronzing collection that features several bronzers, a highlighter, primer, and step by step instructions on getting a flawless bronzed look.

I dunno about you but I can totally use the How to Bronze for Dummies Guide as I’m a heavy handed makeup application girl and I tend to over do things easily plus the idea of getting a golden glow without relying on harmful sun rays is always in order. I personally don’t embrace my bronze side as I normally like to remain as pale as a ghost but sometimes in the Summer everyone can use a bit of color.

If you’re a real bronze fan you’re simply going to love the Bronzed & the Beautiful. It includes a sweet selection of bronzers along with instructions on how to best contour your face for a flawless tanned look plus you get to check out the new Too Faced Primed & Poreless Bronze Tint which has an SPF 20 built right in!

The palette is the exact design of the Too Faced Eye Palettes. It features a gorgeous vintage pin up (love the design) and a flip up lid which has small pocket built into the inside that houses three instruction, get the look cards with a total of six looks. The bottom layer of the palette houses three bronzing selections, one highlighter, and a mini tube of Primed & Poreless Bronze Tint.

Bronzers that you get are Sun Bunny, Snow Bunny, and Chocolate Soleil. Chocolate Soleil actually smells like chocolate and is a matte, subtle shade of brown…it looks intimating in the pan but it applies very lightly and soft. Snow Bunny is a dual sided bronzer that features glimmering shades of muddy brown bronzer and delicate pink where as Sun Bunny is the opposite and features satiny shades of chocolate bronzers. I find all three very easy to wear and apply. Aside from Chocolate Soleil all are very pigmented so a little goes a long way. All three blend very easily as well so you aren’t left with a patchy bronze job. Snow Bunny doubles up as a selection of eyeshadows in my humble opinion too!

One of my favorite pieces in the collection is the Powdered Sun Highlighter. This is a golden shimmering powder you can use to highlight with. It has a subtle kiss of glimmer that works best when applied with a fiber brush for light application. I also liked it on my lids for a kiss of golden sparkle.

The new Primed & Poreless is an interesting treat as it features a silicone primer formulation with a bronze tint and SPF 20. I’m not particularly keen on this as it was a little too deep for my face but if you’re a hardcore bronzer fan you’ll enjoy it without a doubt.

If you’re not keen on bronzing this kit really isn’t something you’ll need to pick up!

I would have loved if they included a pull out drawer with a flat brush of some sort for application as that would seal the deal to make the palette super vacation, travel ready!

  • Anyone who LOVES bronzing products (if you go to cosmetic route for your bronzing action, you’ll adore this kit).
  • Anyone who desires an easy to apply selection of bronzing products with how to help to get the look down right!

  • Those who value their fairer, paler skin (you have to like bronzers to get on board with this set).

I’m not a fan of bronzers myself but the set is actually really nice and well thought out. I think if you generally enjoy bronzing products this is a very good one to pick up due to the variety of great products inside plus it travels really friendly although I’d have added a brush to really make it an awesome vacation take along!

Even though I like to avoid the sun and tanning I’m slapping a Muse Approval on this one. It’s a good selection of products for the bronzer newbies out there and the connoisseurs.

Available now at Sephora and www.toofaced.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I was born bronze 🙂 and love it for all over face glow and highlights.

I was in sephora the other day testing this out and nearly bought it..then I remembered that MAC’s Surf Baby collection was coming out. I think I want to test drive the bronzers in Surf Baby before I make my bronzer buy for the summer.

MC I’m always meh on mac’s bronzer releases…they are always so muddy to me :-/

Thanks for the swatches and review. I skipped the Chanel bronzers, too muddy, and made my wallet happy. I might have to go play with a tester at ulta and see. In general, I love too faced quality. I think this is fair priced for the amount of product.. I swatched the primer the other day and it almost blended into my skin. I still have a half tube of the original or I would have bought it.

OOOOHHHHHHH!!! That’s an Oompa Loompa? I thought it was Snooki!

I have a sample of the Primed & Poreless bronzer primer to try out, now I’m less enthused about it. However, that highlighter is gorgeous!

I’ve been dipping my toe into bronzers with Tokidoki’s Inferno bronzer in Royal Pride, though it’s mostly been as a blush.

Snow Bunny looks really cute too 🙂

I just got into bronzers for this summer. I mean, I had a bronzer or two last summer, but kept forgetting to use them, and wasn’t too thrilled with them when I did. But I bought some new ones with less sparkle and the funny part is, that I already apply it like that one card, Glamour Bronze. I’m 48, when I was growing up no one worried about skin cancer or even aging affects of the sun, and that’s the way a person naturally tans… if you’re just going about your business outside with no sunscreen. (As opposed to laying down getting the sun full face) You get it across your forehead, cheeks, and bridge of the nose, with very little at the jawline and a touch at the chin. So it looks very natural. I like to use blush for the two dabs on the apples of the cheeks and blend.
