Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette Poetica

With two new palettes launching this Fall
, Kat Von D is on a roll getting a jump start on rich, warm hues for autumn.

Today it’s come to my attention she has a third palette in honor of her new fragrance launch, Poetica.

Take a look!

Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette Poetica is one of three new palettes available for Fall 2011 from the Kat Von D for Sephora Collection.

This palette features the following shades:

  • Forgiveness (pearlized butter-cream)
  • Sand Timer (pearlized sand)
  • Chandler (pearlized copper)
  • Tijuana (brown and black with gold sparkle)
  • Wonderland (burgundy with gold pearl)
  • Skiba (purple with gold pearl)
  • Babe (lavender)
  • You Alone (matte vanilla)
  • Mini waterproof Puro Amor Black Autograph Pencil Eyeliner

I’m loving these new designs but I can’t help but feeling a sense of deja vu as many of my True Romance Palettes seem to have similar shades.

Thoughts?

Available exclusively at Sephora and online at Sephora.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Woah! Serious double take, this is pretty much exactly the true love palette, minus the benji cream color. I had to check my true love palette for comparison haha. Aw I was so excited about this one:( her palettes are of such good quality. On sale at sephora, too(:

  • Marina

It looks like True Love to me. In fact, it looks nearly identical to it…wow.

  • Kim

this reminds me sooooo much of the the true love palette from KVD Glad to see that the black is not there (again!). And the pencil seems great, at least better than the brushes included with the old palettes.

  • Angela

Did they do away with the awful cream shadows finally? I agree it does look just like her old palettes and they sure don’t look like anything new and spectacular

I’m not sure about the idea of this palette being sold at the same time as Saint and Sinner. I can see it as a balance between the two, but there’s way too much overlap and not enough color offered exclusively in Poetica to offset it. If I had hazel eyes, I’d be all over this one.

Wow between this one and the new primer I’m really finding the love for KVD again. Not to mention there will be some ink in my future for my birthday next week. Thanks for the post miss muse 🙂

Well I just got the price so it will actually be the weekend after my birthday aka payday. I’m having the artist do a little collaboration of things. My business logo is a silhouette of a woman wearing a strand of beads and is very simple with a little bit of a ghost feel to it. He is going to give her a little bit of a face and the strand of beads is going to have a pink breast cancer ribbon charm hanging off it. This will be to symbolize my mother later on I’ll be adding a Darth Vader Mask in the area to symbolize my father. 🙂

oh cool it looks similar to two of her other palettes

    gettin sick of purples, kat!!

  • Amy

I don’t have any Kat Von D’s products but after looking at this palette I might just have to go out and buy it. I luv Babe

  • Mandi

Looks almost identical to true love. Perhaps they are posing our the originals to replace with the new design?

  • Kayla

I’ve never paid much attention to her other palettes but I actually really like this one. Might be my first KVD purchase!

I haven’t been over the moon for any of her palettes. I’m most interested in her fragrances. I’m curious to try her new mascara, too. Her older mascara became my HG just as it was being taken off the shelves. Also, her eye primer is bitchin.

yeah the purples are exactly like the true love pallete (which i have) but i feel like this is better cuz 1. no tiny useless brushes, and 2. no black or cream shadows. too bad i already have the true love palette but it could be good for those who dont own it.

I am a collector and fall is seriously killing me. I think my husband may murder me. I need the rollerball (I don’t use perfume enough to justify buying those pretty bottles lol) and I need the palettes. I was kind of offput when they put out 2 palettes but now 3? Ouch pocketbook ouch. I was thinking about the primer but now that there is another palette that won’t be an option. I usually make orders around 50$ so that I get free shipping, samples and can use a code so my orders are probably going to look like 1) palette & rollerball. 2) palette & lipstick 3) palette & lipstick

I wonder which ones are permanent line and which ones are limited edition/seasonal. That way I can decide which ones to buy first. I think maybe this one since it goes with poetica.

I recently found out that lovecraft and homegirl lipstick have been discontinued but the sephoras that DO have them are still charging full price. So I’m kind of on edge.

So many of the items end up going on sale and I end up getting that deep regret feeling when I walk by and see things like the painted love lipgloss I paid 18$ for on sale for 3.14.

I am hoping that there arent any crazy cool surprises come holiday season because due to my income restraints I will probably miss out and kick myself. LOL

If sephora could do anything for christmas/my birthday I would ask they drop the prices on the KVD to slightly more than Sephora items. Maybe 14$ lipsticks, 25$ eyeshadow palettes, 10$ eyepencils , 15$ primers & makeup mists. I doubt that will happen ever 🙁

I definitely have deja vu too, though I think I might need to buy it to continue having my complete collection. Craziness.
