Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color $19

  • It may be hard to believe, but we actually created a formula that delivers all the opaque, saturated, high-impact, long-lasting color of your favorite lipstick with the bonus of anti-feathering mega-watt shine in one chubby pencil!
  • Color is so saturated that your lips stay pigmented longer than with a lipstick or gloss.
  • Available in five dynamic shades, Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color offers bright fun colors paired with creamy or metallic sparkle finishes. True to their name, these high-gloss lip colors work doubletime moisturizing your lips while beautifying them at the same time!
  • Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color is softer than you could ever make a lipstick because the pencil supports the ultra-creamy formula. In a lipstick case, it would just go SQUISH!
  • Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color brings you an ultra-moisturizing formula free of mineral oil and paraffin. Instead, our state-of-the-art formula is loaded with nourishing plant derivatives such as Phytosterol, which promotes skin hydration, protects and even rejuvenates the delicate skin on your lips.

I’m trying to decide if I would wear woodstock liner. I want to say I would. But I’m not sure I’d do it.

  • Ashley

The Lip Colors look so much like the Milani Lip Flashes!
I’m definitely hunting down the LE palette and maybe even the eyelash curler. The design is pretty wicked!

  • Tina

Did you hear the eyeshadow palette sold out already!? Sheer craziness!

    • the Muse

oh I posted about the funeral makeup a week ago Bethany crazy right? hahaha! ;-D

      • Miss D

This is actually a response to Bethany’s post…sorry to hear you’re in need of a job, but hang in there. Most of my friend’s have been laid off and they are always threatening to “downsize” more at my job, so for a lot of us these are really hard times. Keep your chin up, ok? 🙂
And I must have missed the post on Illamasqua- I think what they’re doing is great. I recently had a very “glamorous” relative of mine pass away and I really wanted to be the one to make her over so she could stay the same beautiful woman she was before she passed.
        Hugs, everyone! 🙂

  • Christine

To my surprise I’m far more intrigued by the gloss pencil and the mascara than the palette! I dunno, even though they’re “new” colors, to me they feel like colors UD has done before, or at least exactly what I expect. Butttt that gloss?! What big promises! Wonder how it really works… And I can never resist a new mascara. Mascara and concealer, I’m on an eternal search :P.

  • Heather H.

Am I the only one disappointed? I feel like I have similar shades in the pallet and it’s not worth the $$. The liners seem comparable to the MUFE. I might look into the lip color but don’t know if I can pull any of those off. *sad face*

    • the Muse

heather quite a few people are meh on the palette hun! you aren’t alone. I ordered one…I was liking the amount of neutrals in it so I felt like I had to have it but maybe I’m being a bias ud fangirl 😀

  • jeansco

The eyelash curler looks mean..in a good way tho! wouldn’t mind picking that one up to see if it can perk up my short asian lashes! >_<

  • Monique

I really want to get the shadow box and the eyelash curlers. I just started working as a Makeup Artist and some ladies eyelashes just don’t fit very well into eyelash curlers. I really want to try it out! Lemmings!

  • Marina

The palette is absolutely gorgeous, but I can see a lot of colors that look similar to other UD colors.
Those lip pencil things remind me of the Milan Lip Flashes!

  • Phyra

I want the palette, but by the time I got home from work today it was already sold out >.<

  • mon

Hmm, the woodstock liquid eyeliner… Maybe a pencil will be in the works next? And the eyelash curler looks like something i’d expect to see on an alien spaceship -_-

    • the Muse

I’d totes buy a pencil of it mon as I don’t do well with liquid liner ;D!

  • Tala

Even though I’m pretty sure that I have dupes of half the shades in the palette, I still want it. 🙁 Sigh.

  • peri

urban decay, i love you! lol…that eyelash curler looks a bit scary, i wont lie…but i LOVE those liners and gotta get a few of them. SO pretty…and the lip pencils…dont know if id buy them but id totally check them out. so so pretty!

  • Gemma

Cant wait for the shadow collection to come to uk hope its not a long wait.
Those lip pencils look the same as the Barry M ones which are surprisingly good. xoxo

  • kharanya

That pallette was sold out this morning before I saw the articles on temptalia. I wish it didn’t have so many neutrals though, so I’m debating whether or not to get it. That hot pink and the navy blue is to die for!

Oh well I have a few weeks to decide till it’s available again. Dunno why I’m loving hot pink & navy so much lately, been eyeing those eyeliners too, but it’s been years since I used one with a fine brush. (Yes been wearing liquid eyeliner since I started wearing makeup lol, I’m not so good with pencil)

  • auroragyps

So sad there are no greens in the palette and no green liner. I’m thinking the palette will be good for people new to UD and ones that don’t own many of their other palettes and while I’m glad all the colors are new & they are nice, I’m disappointed that there’s nothing very unique in there shade wise.

  • Maria

Hahaha! The super saturated lip colors remind me SOOOO much of the Milani lip flash! ^_^ I probably won’t get those…unless the reviews are utterly amazing, but I REALLY want that 15th anniversary palette. Can’t wait for my Sephora to get it!

  • Telle

Palette! YAY! I have a smaller retailer other than Sephora here that sells UD- they had like 50 naked palettes and they had the anniversary pencil set too…so I am hoping they get the palette too, they are checking with their rep!! EEE! 😀

  • Majick

I love the packaging for the palette. I’m slightly relieved that it sold out so fast, it will give me time to mull it over. I’ve been spending on other stuff right now.

THe liquid liners remind me of the ones Stila put out this summer. I love those. They stay on till you take em off and they glitter without being glittery – at my age looking like the glitterati fairy police is not a good look. LOL

Do you ever wonder if they really didn’t sell out but want the public to go into a frenzy? Great marketing, no?

    • the Muse

I wonder about that myself Majick but counting their fans on both facebook and urban decay plus exposure from Christine’s site and other beauty bloggers I imagine it really does sell out that fast ;-D

      • Majick

mmm, I still think they made enough but they want a big media buzz.

Or, maybe they have a set number for their website, sephora, and ulta, etc. ONce the number goes, you have to go elsewhere to get the stock.
Just like Du Wop, if they wait too long I’ll be on to the next thing.

  • Sara

I’m actually most excited by the palette. Yes, it looks like “Urban Decay standard colors”, but that packaging is gorgeous! And I saw the swatches on Temptalia and the shadows look great. I’d say that while I have similar colors (having the BoS3, Naked Palette, various singles, and a cheapie palette from Hautelook last year), I still think it’s a good buy. There is a nice mix of neutrals *and* bright colors. Something I find my BoS3 lacks. Oh it’s got a lot of pretty colors, but not a good stock of neutrals or a highlighter that isn’t a glitter bomb.

Loving the liquid liners….BUT….I am disappoint in my 24/7 glide on eyeshadow pencil today. I’ve been wearing my Armani Eyes to Kill Intense (jesus that’s a goddamn mouthful – did I even get it right?) in Lust Red as a thick liner on my upper lids the past few days and it hasn’t budged. Hasn’t budged. Have to say that twice as it only minimally transferred to my hoody-eye area and didn’t come off while face-washing. So anwyay, Under the exact same conditions this morning the shadow pencil (in Delinquent) smudge, smeared, and faded within an hour. Less, actually.

Now I’m wondering if their liners will hold up against, say, the Makeup Forever aqua eyes. If they do, then I’ll grab one or two, but if not….

Ugh…I wrote a book, who wants to read all that? Anyway, I’ll probably buy the curler since I need one *IF* I can touch it in person and it doesn’t seem like it’ll rip my wee eyelashes out.

  • meghan

I might jump on the shadow box….but it’s full of dupes! Even if they aren’t the same as previously released shades, it’s the lack of difference that bothers me. That being said, I’ve drunk the purple koolaid hard, so I might get it anyway. I’m definitely keen on the rest of the releases, especially the mascara and eyelash curler!

  • AndxxPanda

Just noticed everything but the palette on sephora’s website. also just got confirmation that my palette shipped. I’m so excited. Glad I was able to get it before it sold out.

  • CK

GAHH, i have been lusting over the palette ever since it came out! (uhh.. ytd, but it feels like it’s been forever ): ) i just NEED it to come back in stock! i’ve been beating myself up for not checking out the fall collection as SOON as i got the email T_T wahh.

i’ve been debating over getting the Naked palette for a LONG time now and i’ve had my eye on woodstock, and now i can get kind of a happy marriage of both; this palette is just PERFECT!!

    baoweiro;awiemro;amwer ::spazzing out::

  • BV

Not really interested in anything except the eyelash curler… is it me or does that thing look like some bizarre instrument of torture? I am devoted to my shu curler but the strange frankenstein look of that has me wondering… um….

  • Melissa

getting caught up on my musings after being on vacay for a few days. I must have that curler. One thing I love almost as much as mascara is a good curler and my shu one is about due to be replaced anyways. Thanks for keeping us in the fall loop as always!
