Avon MagiX Essential Face Mattifier

As you know I’m quite the fan of Mally’s Poreless Face Defender plus Dior has their own little version available as well.

But…..

Stop the press.

Want a budget friendly version?

Jump!

MagiX Essential Face Mattifier is Avon’s version of these new gel-like mattifying skin perfectors. This is $10 bucks (on sale now for $7.99) and keeps skin matte for hours while perfecting it.

As I mentioned in my review of Mally’s version it’s kinda like a melted down version of a silicone primer in a pressed format. I hate silicones but for some reason completely love this product.

Must try out Avon’s super cheap version and see how well it performs.

Anyone try?

I was curious about this too, but I was apprehensive about ordering it.

OMG yay!! I’ve been really dying to try the Mally version but her line is so pricey.. I was waiting to see if it would pop up in one of her TSV’s on QVC. This will sooo hold me over until then 🙂

I will def get this now that its on “sake”. : ) Kidding aside though, thanks for sharing because I really wanted to try Mally’s but for the price no thanks.

Interesting. I have Mally’s too and love it. Does it come with a sponge in the compact? This might be an on the go alternative since Mally’s is not on the go friendly.

I have the MagiX liquid in a tube – works pretty good. I use it on my T section when I am not going to wear any powder. Good for baseball games, outside stuff when you are not going into the office. Keeps the shine under control.

It is also good under powder too. I have large pores so it seems to fill them in. I imagine that this “pressed” format is alot like the Benefit Dr. Feelgood.

I had the tinted mattifier (cannot remember what the actual product is called and I believe it’s been discontinued) from this line last summer and it was freakin’ amazing! Hands down the best mattifier I have ever used, can’t wait to try this one.

It is good stuff; I have used it and still have some. I just get bewitched into buying other items – like Dr. Brandt’s Pores No More!

Ohhh! I ordered this too! Can’t wait to try it after everyone else’s good opinions of the product! I am thinking this will be awesome to have on the go for touch ups! :))

i just bought this today after noticing that my pores have been looking huge lately. the product didn’t make them look invisible, but my skin’s texture looked better than with none at all.

i love the way it feels. it reminds me of the l’oreal magic perfecting mousse or whatever it’s called. i used it alone, and then put my mac msf natural over it. the powder stayed on top on the mattifier/primer and not in my pores.

it did keep my t-zone way LESS oily. but in this heat and with sweating, i still got “dewy.”

This product is great, feels good and is smooth, controls my shine for hours….but I’m really shocked that no one has commented on the SMELL! Am I the only one that thinks it smells quite fishy? I’m very shocked that they would let this product out into the market with such a vile odour!
