Laura Mercier Mini Lip Glace Set for Holiday 2011 Review, Swatches, Photos
Listen up lipgloss lovers.
I’ve convinced the best lipgloss on the market, which doesn’t get nearly enough love, is Laura Mercier’s Lip Glace. Everyone talks about MAC Lipglass, Bobbi Brown Lipgloss, etc…including me but the real star of the show is Laura Mercier Lip Glace. I’m fully convinced and now it’s my responsibility to convince the rest of the beauty junkies out there.
Switch lipglosses now! You need Lip Glace in your collection! You need several! You can get several, the new Laura Mercier Mini Lip Glace Set Holiday Set is the key!

In all seriousness, I’m chalking these up to the best glosses I’ve tried. I own a few but not nearly as many as I should and I don’t know why that is. Insanity perhaps.
It’s one of the few gloss products that has a full color payoff with a comfortable, long wear. Part of the main appeal of Lip Glace is the fact they have such great pigment and even the sheerer ones still manage to enhance the natural pigment of your lips in a beautiful way. I’m in love with the amount of color that goes into each gloss and that is one reason to simply adore these glosses.
Don’t get me wrong…I like lipstick but I find I can’t wear it without a little gloss on top. And I like lipgloss but I find that I can’t wear many of the shades I’d like without a little lipstick or stain underneath to get the best color pay off and drama from the gloss.
With Lip Glaces I can skip the lipstick stage, skip the stain, and head straight for the gloss. Each gloss leaves behind a full color finish with just the right amount of shine to give lips a fuller more beautiful appearance. The formula is thinner than a MAC Lipglass and a heck of alot less sticker. The lighter texture glides onto lips evenly and wears quite long, say four or five hours without a touch up or eating. They don’t have a terribly tacky, sticky feel but you’re still benefit from a longer wear time without such an uncomfortable formula.
At $48 for five mini lipglosses you may say you can find a better Holiday gloss set option and you’d be right. There are alot cheaper options out there at the moment with alot more to offer but the $48 or $9.60 per a gloss is all about the quality. Would you rather have a bunch of lipglosses for less with a subpar formula or a few that have an excellent formula?
Laura Mercier Mini Lip Glace Set for Holiday 2011 is a selection of five glosses in the following shades:
- After Hours: soft, nude, golden peach.
- Sparkling: iridescent beige.
- Blush: creamy brown rose.
- Rose: shimmering blushing rose.
- Quartz: golden brownie.
I thought this set contained a beautiful selection of universally flattering shades and a great introduction to Lip Glaces if you’ve never tried them. It reminded me why I should be adding more of these fabulous lipglosses to my collection.
This one is Muse Approved for purchase. I know it’s a little expensive but I think you’ll be very surprised and happy with how amazing these glosses truly are.
