Parissa Brow Shaped and Assorted Wax Strips Review

My dad likes to tease my mum, telling her that we (my sister and I) are probably the milkman’s children. Shrug…..these people have been married as long as the grass has been green so I guess it’s ok that they tease each other about this kinda stuff.

Personally I think he’s wrong. My dad wasn’t the milkman, he was probably an ape because I’m one hell of a hairy beast. No shame in my game. My brows and stash are out of control, it’s a scary fact or should I say hairy fact?

Thank you beauty gods for wax what would I do without you? Oh yeah, I’d be a monkey that’s what. I prefer not dealing with the drama of waxing my own brows or upper lip. It’s just easier to head to the salon and have them do the dirty deed for me. I actually go to these really sweet Korean girl’s who own a local shop here……sometimes they’ll start chitchatting with each other as I lay on the table in fear. My Korean isn’t particularly great so I suspect the conversation goes something like, Cho Hee: “Oh my God, girlfriend is so hairy!” “I’m going to take a quickie cellphone pic while she lays here with her eyes closed and post it on the Internet…”! Sun Jung: “Oh do it, we get mad hits on the Internetz with a picture of the Muse’s hairy upper lip!”

Yup, they are so discussing my hairiness with words like chum-shim thrown in that’s obviously a clue about how they are talking about hairiness, nods, for serious (heavy sarcasm here).

When I don’t have time to go see Cho and Sun I have to take matters into my own hands at home so that’s why wax strips are such an easy way to go. The kind with the wax built right into the strip makes is an ideal way to zip off hair in a flash. However, many of these drugstore kits aren’t exactly the best and they leave behind alot of stray hair.

Until now. Thank you Parissa for making super wax strips to remove even the most stubborn hair!

Parissa is a sure fire way to easily and safely wax your brows, legs, arms, etc….with simple no heat wax strips. You don’t have to waste a bunch of time warming these between your fingers like other drugstore products of its kind. These are ready to go out of the box. Simply peel the size you need for the area you are waxing, press on, and whip off for mess free hair application.

Whatever wax they are using in these strips, let me tell you, it’s industry style because it seriously grabs hair by the root. I get pretty amazing results with the strips. Granted, I won’t lie and say it doesn’t hurt but it’s alot less painful than sitting and plucking each hair. Sets also include a conditioning oil for use after you wax to sooth skin and remove any remaining wax from your face should there be any but you probably won’t notice that.

I tried the Parissa Brow Shaper Set and the Parissa Assorted Wax Set Kit which includes strips for underarms, bikini, and face. Each kit contains around 24 to 32 strips so you’re getting a good deal of product here that will last a while.

Sets are super inexpensive at $9-$12 each compared to a few at my local drugstore which aren’t nearly as good ranging at $8.99-$9.99.

I liked these alot. The wax performs very well and has long term results plus it’s a cheaper option than heading to the salon if you simply can’t afford the trip at the moment or for touch ups in between visits.

Speaking as a hairy girl, I totally Muse Approve these ones. Well worth snatching up.

Agreed! Have been using these for a couple of years! Even cheaper if you use an ulta coupon:)

Sara beat me to it. I was going to say – I buy these at ulta. Sometimes there is a coupon in the box too.

Hey Muse, I use and love these too and can totally relate to you with the hair situation LOL. I get mine at vitacost.com, help of a lot cheaper than ulta for them, since I tend to shop there for natural toiletries & cosmetics too. I really love that they are not just effective, but they don’t take my skin off with the hair or hurt much at all!

hey kharanya thanks for the tip will look there for replacements when I am done. They are truly a good fine, I’ve tried other products like it but these do the job really well ;-D Ha…hair, the bane of our lives ;D!

Oh…I might have to try this brand. Awhile back I purchased the Nair strips and they were awful. You had to rub them and they didn’t pull out any hair. They were sticky like melted gum. Absolutely awful.

Muse, I’m such a fan of the Nair facial wax strips because they use a cloth strip, I hate the plastic ones! Can you recommend one for body that has a cloth wax strip?
