About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Just received my first shipment today – Bare Minerals never seems to let me down in the quality, size and colorways of their collections. I can’t wait to get the other three!

  • Majick

I just decided to cancel this. The first kit was nice but I’m finding that I just don’t love BE like I used to.
For the items in the kit that I love the price just isn’t worth it. For me I liked the eye shadow, brushes, lipgloss, radiance. The bags are ok but the eyeliners were horrible – I couldn’t even give them away. LOL
Thanks so much for the pics of the other kits.

my pleasure majick I didn’t indulge in this one so I’m safe, the foundation was a no go in the kit

I lied, I did get the second kit and I really like it. LOL I have not even opened the eye liners. I’ve heard that everyone hates them. I think I will get the third kit but not sure about the last one but maybe.

I only have a couple of the liners (I got one in a kit at the flash sale prior to this past one, and I picked up a couple more super-cheap on eBay). I didn’t think I’d like them, but they glide on beautifully. My beef is that you have to sharpen them — that’s such a waste of product and $$$ to me. Give me a retractable liner any day.

  • Ginger Snaps

Just got the second shipment and I must say the secret radiance is amazing!!!!!!

I didn’t get these when they were available — I’m not a fan of mixed loose/Ready kits. I don’t think they’re a good marketing decision by BE, since you have so many people who will only use one or the other (I’ll use the Ready shadows, but I’ve only been using them for a little over a month, as they were an Easter present from my sister-in-law, niece, and two grand-nieces. I won’t go near the foundation or blushes — I have enough mineral foundation to last me at least 10 years, and enough blushes to fill two drawers in my Lowes’ chests).

But I picked up two of the bags on eBay, and I love them. The brush roll is what I use for my EcoTools brushes, and the bag from the 4th shipment (which cost me all of $2.99!) is perfect for my Ready shadow Palettes. I’ve seen a lot of bags come from BE in the past 10 years, and these are among the best (so is the first of the AD bag collection that just came out, but that’s another story). They’re extremely well-made, and they hold a LOT (I still have room for more brushes in the brush roll, and the only thing It won’t hold is my fat-handled bronzer brush).
