Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte Natural Finish Pressed Powder Jasmin Review, Swatches, Photos

It’s cold now but Spring isn’t far off and you might looking for the perfect products to give your dull, tired, “I survived Winter and won” skin some new makeup to make you glow.

If you’re wanting that soft focused glow the Chanel Natural Finished Powder in Jasmin that was released as part of the Spring 2012 Collection might be just the product you seek!

Chanel Natural Finish Pressed Powder is available for a limited time in the shade Jasmin. Natural Finish Pressed Powder has always been a favorite of mine from Chanel as it has a natural matte finish that never looks overly done or flaky on my dry skin. The powder is finely milled, silky, and applies beautifully for a flawless, even finish. It is pretty translucent so you’re not looking at incredible coverage here merely a way to brighten up your dull skin and add a perfect finish to your makeup.

Jasmin is a golden peachy beige shade that should suit medium to medium fair skin types (I’d say up to NC35 but don’t quote me there as I’m not really in the know with MAC shades). I think the flecks of gold are quite noticeable after application but not in a bad, I took a bath in glitter way but more of a gentle touch of gold.

The powder gives my skin a very soft, pretty finish. I already own it in another shade but Jasmin is a welcome addition to my collection particularly for Spring as it gives just the right touch of glow to my skin. Think of a beautiful Spring look touched by glowing skin, a sweep of pink blush, and a just bitten lip look.

Love!

I love this, but then I love Chanel powder, and well most powders. But Chanel’s are special. I have been using it in Rose Merveille since summer , and this one has happily joined the group. Both give just enough of a boost and finish to my pale skin.

Got to swatch this and it’s lovely! About the MAC conversion. I would say up to MAC 30 (maybe). Anything above that it’s a highlighting powder to me. I was matched to MAC 35/37 in winter and MAC 37/40 in summer. It’s definately too light for me in the winter, just adding that for those with a darker skin tone like mine 🙂
