Speaking of great deals…
My new favorite gift set, Tarte Maracuja Lip Scrub and Maracuja Lip Whips! So delicious for my dry winter lips.
You need it!
This five piece collection contains one lip scrub and four lip “whips” infused with Maracuja Oil that soften and hydrate lips and offers a hint of tint.
The set includes:
- Tarte Maracuja Lip Whip in Champagne (nude)
- Tarte Maracuja Lip Whip in Peony (sheer peach)
- Tarte Maracuja Lip Whip in Pink (sheer pink)
- Tarte Maracuja Lip Whip in Red (sheer red)
- Tarte Amazonian Maracuja Lip Scrub
These are so delightful! The formula feels like a jelly mold…it’s firm but it has just the right jiggle when you touch it! It melts on contact with your lips and glides on leaving behind beautiful shine, moisture, and just the right amount of tint. The cool, fresh minty taste is very pleasant as well and the formula is free from parabens and mineral oils.
I can’t say enough good things about the formula here. They have such a soothing texture and the hint of tint is perfect for natural, no makeup days.
Also included in the set is a lip scrub. Loving on the finely grained lip scrub that tastes like super sweet peppermint. I’ve tried alot of lip scrubs in my day but this was one of the nicer ones I’ve come across recently. The smaller grains gently buff away dry skin and the maracuja oil infused in the formula moisturize lips as you exfoliate.
The only downside is the packaging. These came in tiny tins so they aren’t exactly travel friendly since I’m not really keen on dipping into product while I’m out and about, bacteria…Ahhhh! They might melt easily as well in a warmer makeup bag or purse. Also the tins prove a little difficult to open. The first four I tried were fine but I got to the fifth and had to get out a screw driver to jiggle it loose (you can see in the photo that the tin bent after I fiddled with it to get it open).
Overall, this is a lovely little set and a nice bargain and a great last minute gift for $38. Loved the formula! Some minor problems with packaging but nothing I’m not willing to overlook thanks to a superior formula.
