Laura Mercier Eye Canvas

There are three women in my life that I trust to brighten up my aging eyes. Trish, Bobbi, and Laura! These ladies know how to address the issues of aging and make some of the best preps and concealers I own to brighten up my under eyes and keep them looking fresh, bright, and alert.

The good news?

Laura Mercier has brand new Eye Canvas pots for our eyes. Joy!

Laura Mercier Eye Canvas is the latest, must-have product to create a flawless eye. New Eye Canvas transforms your eyelid into the perfect canvas for eye makeup application. This innovative formula acts like a foundation for your eye. It neutralizes the eyelid by providing lightweight coverage which extends makeup wear and prevents creasing and smudging all day.

If you love Laura’s Eye Basics this sounds like a similar product.

These are available in five shades and have an official launch of February but I’ve already seen them on counter. They are $26 each.

Check out them out soon at lauramercier.com or your favorite counter at Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and select Belk, Blue Mercury, Lord & Taylor, and Macys.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. OOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I must check these out! Pricey little beggars, but for LM I’ll hack up a lung to pay for her stuff… I still can’t believe that LM is available in my lil town, but I love that woman for it!

Thanks for the heads up Muse – Will scope these out!

Will you be doing a review of them? 🙂

    • the Muse

me too, it seems like her, Bobbi Brown, and Trish McEvoy totally understand how to create perfect picks for aging eyes ;-D my pleasure. Yes, most def ;D

Her Eye Basics (in Linen) is my holly grail – there is no better primer eye lid product out there for uneven tone (mostly dark :o)) eye lids! Brightens up, evens out, stays on all day, prefect base (and nothing else works for my 46 yo oily lids). 🙂

    • the Muse

you lie, you’re 46? I agree linen=AWESOME! I have a few of the eye basics and just adore them!

🙂 The skin care addict here – we discussed the “age digit” thing in relation to eye creams addiction. Btw I am using the Eye Emulsion from Dr. Denese right now – it is a clone between RestorEyes (her Retinol based eye cream) and Eye Fix (Hydroshield) under eye gel.

ooooooooo yeah I remember! Sorry sometimes I talk to so many people I forget who and what we discussed lol! interesting! I got mine but it is in a box waiting for me to test ;-D is to rich?

          • Makedonka

Hell, I do not expect you to remember, Muse … 🙂 I do however because of the compliment! Flattering when ppl do not “recognize” your age 😉
            OXO
I am enjoying the cream right now – seems to hydrate the under eye area pretty well. At least the folds relax when I am not smiling you know. 🙂 But I can not comment about younger skin – may be a bit much, really not sure. She has one more cream that is on my wish list – Vit C radiance something. 🙂

          • the Muse

I typically do lol but sometimes my brain is a-muck! hehe def…guess mine? lol! no don’t 🙂 LOL! Vit C? I always get excited when I hear Vitamin C ;D

Are you serious?! You look like you’re in your late twenties! So glad to know that devotion to skincare really does work (we invest a ton of money in it after all). Please share your secrets!!

      • Makedonka

🙂 Good thing the pic is so tiny 😉 (I am 2 years younger on it too).
Yes, the devotion pays off! I’ve been addicted since 2004 (back in CA I woke up with a line on one side of my face that did not want to go away – I realized how much elasticity was gone). General pointers (and forgive me for stating the obvious but it is important to mention): 1. NEVER go to bed without cleansing the skin.2. same goes for waking up – yes, lots of stuff gets secreted over night when the skin is in renewal phase 3. your fingers ARE your best tools 🙂 4. expensive does not MEAN good 4. there is no one fits all in skincare so try everything you can 5. skin needs changes with seasons so as with toothpaste – one product is not the an all year around solution 🙂 6. read the ingredients and educate on what each means 7. look for hi-tech ingredients – with age telomers shorten, elasticity goes away, the good fat (under dermis) goes away, messages do not go thru so pick Matrixyl 3000, peptides, Vit C, retinol (if you can handle it), argireline, hyaluronic acid.
OMG, this is getting too long! Ok, lastly in terms of brands my all time favs are Isomers and Dr. Denese but I’ve bought Perricone, 100% pure, Mario Badescu (3rd fav) … gosh, there is more but can not think of it right now.
