Smashbox Be Discovered Cream Cheek Trio In Lights Review, Swatches, Photos

Dunno ’bout you but as Spring approaches I start digging around in my stash like a little squirrel and start yanking out cream blushes. Just seems fitting for the season to apply light, sheer cream blush on my cheeks.

Smashbox has two brand new Cream Cheek Trios to indulge in that released with their new Be Discovered Spring 2012 Collection.

Take a peek!

This is In Lights a sweet little trio of cream blushes/highlighters. The lovely part of the trio is you can mix and match the three shades or wear them individually, the possibilities are endless.

The blush has a nice tack to it so it wears quite long without fading away within an hour. Granted, it is cream blush so touch ups are necessary but wear time comes in at just around six hours of wear for me. The shades blend easily and have a nice pigmentation that builds easily. The smoother texture allows the blush to apply like butter on both drier and oily skin.

Smashbox created it in a way that you can use lighter shades to highlight and darker for a pop of color on cheekbones. In Lights is just one of two shade selections that Smashbox released and it includes a soft shimmering champagne beige, a darker shimmering bronze, and a matte cream bright coral.

If you’re a cream blush lover definitely check into these. I find Smashbox excels at cream blush with a long wearing formula and very nice colors particularly this selection which will prove worthy of your Spring and Summer 2012 color wardrobe.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. That’s really pretty Muse! It looks lovely on you 🙂 I never have checked this brand out much besides the primers but I may have to give them a second look now. I really need to switch to cream blushes.
