My Beauty Diary Blooming Garden Lip Essence Review & Swatches

Cult favorite, Taiwanese sheet mask extraordinaire My Beauty Diary likes to venture outside of the realms of mere sheet masks every once in a while. Last Spring, they introduced a small little stash of skincare products and this Spring they venture into beauty.

I mean I imagine Batman gets tired of fighting crime every once and a while and maybe thought about heading up his local MAC counter so why can’t My Beauty Diary switch things up and take a breather from sheet masks and maybe, I dunno, dabble around with lip balm?

Well, indeed, My Beauty Diary Blooming Garden Lip Essence is outside the realms of sheet masks that much is true.

They recently introduced three new Lip Essences to their collection that come in tinted versions as well as a repairing formula version.

Not only are they cute but they are a lovely little essence for curing chapped lips or for a natural hint of color on lips. I indulged in two of them which are the Honey and Peach versions.

My Beauty Diary Blooming Garden Honey Lip Essence is a repairing lip balm that provides moisture as well as treats chapped and dry lips.

My Beauty Diary Blooming Garden Peach Lip Essence is the tinted version of the product and gives lips a soft, peachy shade. It also treats dry, cracked lips.

The formula is a mild, subtly scented and flavored essence that contains peach extract, royal jelly extract, mint, vitamin E for nourishment.

These are an essence style product so they aren’t a traditional balm style formula nor are they a lipgloss one but more a milky, creamy jelly that glides onto lips and leaves behind a soothing, hydrating jelly-like gloss that keeps lips moist and shiny through the wear.

They successfully cure my chapped lips and prevent them from becoming chapped as well which is a plus. The scents and flavor of the product is super subtle so if you’re sensitive to fragrance in your balms or lip products no worries, this isn’t overpowering in any way.

I think they are a darling little treat for lips and well worth picking up.

Imomoko.com carries all three selections as well as a special gift set that contains all the flavors.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. *wink* thanks mallory ;-D I’m corny as hell but it tickles me when people get a giggle out of my stupidity ;D! I know I find this stuff funny but I’m always doubtful anyone else is laughing about it lol so it’s nice to hear it when someone does think it’s funny!

    Aww…there’s two Mallorys. LOL!

I’ve been avoiding your blog because I tend to pick up things I don’t really need from reading all your reviews but I couldn’t help it anymore. I hate it when packaging are cute. It’s like I must get it JUST because of that. =(
