Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oil Free Energizing Oxygen Gel Cream Moisturizer

Good Morning Sunshine.

Take a deep breath, smell that? It’s the sweet smell of eau de wet dog aka Hope in a Jar. It’s been a while since I’ve owned a jar of Hope in a Jar but I remember and recall very distinctively its awful smell. It’s the top reason I simply couldn’t get on board with it.

All of the Philosophy Miracle Worker products are on my hit list and I use them daily but Hope in a Jar is something that will never grace my vanity again.

Let’s hope the new Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oil Free Energizing Oxygen Gel Cream Moisturizer doesn’t fall victim to the scent of wet dog.

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oil Free Energizing Oxygen Gel Cream is a new moisturizer from the brand that promises to breath new life into your skin with the aid of oxygen. This lightweight gel cream detoxifies skin and promotes a healthy glow while protecting your skin against environmental attack (I suspect this is the reason my skin goes dull).

With Spring here (well almost) and Summer on the way I’ll be seeking out a new daily moisturizer that’s lightweight so Take a Deep Breath might just be the ticket.

My current successful track record with Philosophy skincare leads me to believe I’ll love it but please, no wet dogs, k, thanks.

Available now at from Philosophy.

hmmm i’m iffy with this. i’ll have to take samples from Sephora first. I have the “Oxygen Boost” and don’t see much difference with it so won’t be repurchasing. Oxygen seems to be the skin ingredient of the season don’t it?

I don’t use hope in a jar, but i’m using hope in a bottle- same thing but w/salicylic acid for pimples (only available on philosophy’s site) and never noticed a smell with that one.

Have you tried their face self tanner yet? I need the site to mail me a coupon so I can buy it!

I haven’t tried the Oxygen thingy yet but wanting to. I agreed, seems like the season’s trend plus tried a few oxygen skincare products before and never noticed a difference, if nothing at all, it’ll make a nice lightweight moisturizer. Never tried the hope in a jar/clear day moisturizer thingy so the scent could be different, my first purchases of hope in a jar were eau the dog all the way ugh!

haven’t, I’m not much of a bronzer/self tanner girl ;-D I try to stay as white and bright as humanly possible ;D!

i just found the self tanner in nordstroms the other day! its *very* gradual and subtle, so much so i have to use other tanner on top of it. i don’t know why, i enjoy looking bronze but refuse to go in tanning salons because i don’t want wrinkles. so self tanners are God send for me! LOL =)

Gooooood morning deary 😀 I do quite like philosophy products, but I could never get on the hope in a jar bandwagon, not only does it smell like wet dog like you said, it’s also just so… boring lol. It’s very basic, there’s nothing in the ingredients that really does anything. This one sounds interesting tho, might just give it a try 🙂

ugh I can’t stand the smell of Hope in a Jar either…I got a sample from Sephora a while back and I couldn’t finish it because the smell would drive me nuts and I’d wanna wipe it off my face

OMG that is too funny! I can deal with a variety of scents but when I got a deluxe sample of Hope in a Jar in my Sephora box over X-Mas I went from excited to grossed out! I thought that mine went bad until I did some research. I had to wash my face after I put that on and haven’t touched it since.

I tried to new body self tanner the other night. It’s very thick and need lots of blending. It’s also looks a bit orange and yellow on me. Not golden or brown. I look like I got beat where I tested it. We don’t have the face one in store yet, but I have a feeling it will be the same result.

The new face sunscreen is really thick and doesn’t absorb well. But the bod sunscreen is thick but absorbs well. I’m starting to think Philosophy doesn’t test their products before putting them on the market.

I got this recently on philosophy’s website, and I gotta rejoice and say it doesn’t smell awful like hope in a jar!!! It doesn’t have a strong smell at all really, which makes me very happy! I use it in conjunction with oxygen boost, and my skin looks pretty good. It’s only been like 2 weeks, so I’ll give it my requisite 30 day trial. So far so good!

I tried Philosophy’s Oxygen Peel and it did absolutely nothing for my skin, a total waste of money. So I don’t know about the moisturizer..
