Rimmel Match Perfection Blush Review & Swatches

Matchmaker, matchmaker make me a match! Match me up with a little Rimmel Match Perfection Blush perhaps because its the most delightful shade of peachy keen on my cheeks and face.

Rimmel Match Perfect 3 Tone Blush is a brand new customized cheek color from the brand for Spring 2012. This features three coordinating shades of color that supposedly adapts to your unique skin tone for a true to you color.

Mostly, the shades simply bounce off your tone and create that unique shade of blush so I wouldn’t say its adapting to a natural shade of you blush but more along the lines of adapting to your skin tone.

The blush is available in three shade selections that range from Light, Light Medium, Medium, and Dark. The Medium shade I’ve featured in this post includes a light caramel beige, a soft chocolate, and a light peachy coral. The bronzer shades are a bit off putting at first but they blend well with the peach and creates a warm shade of light peach on my cheeks. Contrary to the way it swatches this isn’t really a bronzey peach shade, it’s more of a light shade of natural peach on my skin.

The formula is a thin, silky powder with a tiny bit of subtle golden shimmer. The powder is finely milled which makes application and blending delightful. I’m heavy handed but I can honestly never over do this as the pigmentation proves just right here as it always looks natural and never too bold or vibrant.

I’m not keen on the packaging as this isn’t exactly travel friendly since the top completely comes off the pan. I like the larger pan size as it fits my biggest blush brush comfortably. But the lighter plastic packaging is uneventful and not really worth traveling with as break-age is sure to occur.

Overall, I really liked Match Perfection Blush. Just a warning those, the Medium shade is subtle and quite pretty but if this is what Medium is like in terms of color pay off it might not prove suitable for super dark skin types as it might not show up. For me, it proved a delightfully natural, subtle shade of blush that’s ideal for more natural, fresher looks for Spring.

Likey!

Wow! Under $5! What a bargain! I really like this on you – I will have to scoop one up myself… I would never have guessed those three colors would blend together to form that lovely peach shade – they don’t look like they’d do that!

    PURTY!!!

Is it just me or they keep making prettier and prettier blushes and face powders? How could we resist? I’ve seen at least 5 of the new spring launches on your blog that I simply must own!

The price makes it awfully tempting but Medium would probably be too dark for me. Maybe light or light medium? How is wear time on these blushes? I’m a little spoiled after the Tarte Amazonian clay blushes.
