Too Face Glamour Gloss Volumizing Lip Gloss Review & Swatches

I was rummaging around my “to be reviewed” pile a few days ago and realized I never touched on Too Faced Glamour Gloss. How did that happen?

Their an oldie, but a goodie!

These were released a year or two ago I believe and I purchased five shades. They are actually a go to gloss for me as I find I use them in a lot in many of my looks. Kinda of unheard of since I test and try so many new products sometimes it’s hard to form attachments but these have a way of popping up in my daily regime.

The glosses are packaged in a elegant little pink metallic tube with a faux diamond on the topper. Totally appeals to my girlish good nature.

The joy is definitely the color payoff as most all the colors are saturated with rich color so they act as not only a gloss but a lip cream of sorts as well. There are just too many sheer lipglosses in my stash already so these are a nice change from the norm.

The glosses have a plumping effect which for the most part stems from the thicker consistency of the formula in my opinion but upon application you will feel a cooling sensation. It’s not unpleasant in the least so no worries if you’re sensitive. Correct me if I’m wrong but they taste like cake batter to me, it’s rather a delicious yet subtle taste of raw cake batter. Nom!

(Swatched Left to Right: Pillow Talk, Erotic, Strip Tease, Sex Pot, and Plush)

The glosses run a tad sticky but nothing too uncomfortable as they remain fairly weightless once applied plus that bit of stick allows them to wear strong for a good deal of hours before wearing away. In this case, I appreciate the stickiness that allows the longer wear time.

Although irksome, the brush applicator allows you to pile on a nice layer of color however it proves a bit of a pain since it splices a fair bit when you’re trying to get it back into the tube! Grrr! But regardless the lack of a sponge applicator is absolutely a welcome relief for me as I feel like I can build product easier with a brush. Sadly, they actually changed the glosses and they now come with a sponge le sigh!

I think the shade selection is rather stunning as well and as I mentioned most of the shades have full color pay off so what you see in the tube is what you’ll see on your lips.

Overall, Too Face Glamour Gloss Volumizing Lip Gloss is a favorite of mine and well worth a look into if you like thicker, long wearing glosses with full color pay off. I find the formula wears comfortably, gives my lips a fuller, poutier look, plus the $19 price tag isn’t too bad a deal either.

Loves ’em!

I have strip tease and mine is a spongey applicator -.- I don’t like mine that much but i would feel terrible throwing away $20 >_<

I like these, too. Pillow Talk is a pretty good MLBB, pinkish-but-not-too-pink shade for me. I also have Flirt, which is my favorite pink-beige color. I like the look of Exotic and Plush here, too.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these! I haven’t seen many reviews of these glosses.

hey lesley! I feel the same about Pillow Talk! It kinda reminds me of a shade Blair wears on Gossip Girl all the time, it’s really pretty ;D!

I love these as well. But to show you how unobservant I am, I never noticed the faux diamond until you pointed it out!

I have a handful of these, mix of old brush type and new doe foot, and love the formula but hate the brush!! Much prefer the doe foot. Totally agree on loving glosses with full color payoff and getting what you see in the tube on your lips. Isn’t that what we’re paying for 😀

Pillow talk is my HG gloss. It is the perfect natural shade for me and I love the tingle. If anyone hasn’t tried one I these, they should def pick one up.

Pillow talk has been my absolute favorite lip product
for a couple of years now. It fits my light skin tone
perfectly. It goes with every look I create! It feels
cooling on the lips, I don’t know if the plump lips that
much but I think they appear slightly fuller. Love them,
    and your blog :)!

These are one of my faves lip glosses, but I only have them in 2 shades, Chihuahua Bite and a nude pink one. I think they taste wonderful, and the sponge applicator is nice. I’ve found that the lighter colour would streak on my lips if they’re not properly moisturised though.

As much as I love the color of Pillow Talk, I cannot stand how it feels and tastes. It makes my lips burn!

  • Katie

I LOVE pillow talk. I actually made it through an entire tube, and I am on my second. That never happens!
