Clarins Instant Definition Mascara Review

Clarins Instant Definition Mascara you’re the lover of my mascara life at the moment. Your nifty little volume intensity brush lengthens my lashes and makes them fuller and fatter with a few swipes.

This is love I’m feeling…!

Sporting Clarin’s chic new gold packaging, Instant Definition Mascara looks like your average everyday mascara. But inside you’ll find a brush that creates pretty fabulous looking lashes.

This is a straight line bushy applicator which narrows out towards the end. You can swipe the brush across lashes easily to add length and use the narrow tip of the brush for more precise work like coating your lower lashes, grabbing inner pesky inner corner lashes, or adding more length to the tips of lashes.

The formula is pretty lightweight with a rich, deep black pigment. It doesn’t have a completely weightless finish but it is comfortable enough without leaving lashes crunchy or stiff. I find it holds curl incredibly well so my lashes aren’t droop-tastic towards the end of the day and I’m still looking all “I just applied a fresh coat of mascara and look fabulous for it darlin!”.

The finish for me is a doll-like lash look. It’s one of the things that I really like about the mascara. I wouldn’t call it a miracle worker in terms of super fatter lashes but it does separate them well, curls them upwards, and creates a wide eyed look that compliments smoky and natural eye looks beautifully.

Overall, Clarins Instant Definition Mascara has my heart. We’re going steady for near six months now with no end in sight.

Love.

Might have to snap it up, I’ve been going through drugstore mascara and I’ve been liking them a lot but not loving them… I am not a huge volume gal so this sounds nice to me!

Another win for Clarins. Love this, looks awesome on your lashes. I tell ya, when I have a renewed romance with a brand, I fall hard. It’s been years since I bought any Clarins. Between the Summer collection (and Omg I’ve turned into a kid at Christmas over it), some oils, and a couple other things, like eau Dynamisante, my favorite scent for summer….. Ack!

    Let me ask you this…
I have weird, overly emotional lashes. Most of the mascaras I use have to be waterproof because my lashes are straight as straight can be. They practically curl the opposite direction. I have to use a curler, and non-waterproof mascaras straighten that curl.
Is this mascara a really wet mascara? I hope it will work for me.

Thanks for your reviews, your many many reviews!

hey jody! clarins is often overlooked, people think of it was mature makeup for grandmotherly types and that’s simply not the case ;-D great to talk to a fellow fan ;-D

mmmmmmm not really wet no but not dry either…I tried something recently that was super dry, trying to recall what it was, oh YEAH! the new hard candy mascara, that’s SUPER dry..if that’s the formula you like, that’ll do the trick in the dry departments!

      lol my pleasure ;D!

Got this last Friday and have been using it ever since…I even got compliments on my lashes! Thanks for the recc :). I didn’t think HE mascara was more worth it than DS but I think this one proves that otherwise…I love that the brush isn’t huge! I haven’t even poked myself in the eyeball with it once.

that’s fabulous tam happy to hear it ;-D LOL same here! I like the water it tapers off at the end so you can grab smaller lashes with the tip!

Yeah it’s very helpful~. I am still somewhat of a mascara n00b so having a brush that helps rather than hinders is always great, since I have to rely on the brush design to not get mascara all over my face haha 🙂
