Clinique Long Last Lipstick Runway Coral Review & Swatches
You have to wonder how does one go about creating the perfect shade of Coral Lip Colour?
Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Runway Coral promises to be YOUR perfect shade of coral.
Is it?
Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Runway Coral was inspired by the makeup look that was created by Global Colour Artist, Jenna Menard, for the Karen Walker Spring 2012 Show. Runway Coral debuted during New York Fashion Week and added a pop of sizzling color to fresh faces for a little bit of fun.
“Karen wanted the models to look youthful and feminine with a sophisticated twist”, explains Jenna Menard. “So I kept the eye very simple, the cheeks healthy, and then went for a strong, vibrant lip. I choose bright coral because it’s less expected than red.”
I’m testing out Sephora Pantone Collection so I I definitely went a little too crazy with my look below as I used Runway Coral on a face full of orange-y peachy shades. I highly recommend taking Jenna’s advice, go natural when wearing this shade as it’s quite bold and vibrant and you don’t want to take away from the wow effect it delivers. A soft eye, subtle blusher, and plenty of lash will be the perfect canvas for Runway Coral.
Jenna does suggest trying it out with a peach blush but going softer on eyes.
The lipstick formula has a smooth glide across lips with a rich, buttery texture that leaves behind a touch of shine and plenty of pigment.

It’s the most affordable way to get a great lipstick quality formula at an inexpensive price tag.

Disclaimer: I’m busy testing several things at once time today so apologies for the photo included in this post. I realize pairing peach blush, eyeshadow, and a coral lip color isn’t a GREAT idea.
